Hi everyone! Today in this FOOD NUTRITION PART-03 let's take a little bit of idea about Vitamin C.
Vitamin C is a direct compound that has been found in various types of foods. Although some vitamins like Vitamin A can be produced inside our body, our body can't produce Vitamin C. That's why we need to take food that contains direct vitamin C.
We can also take Vitamin C supplements if we need them in a short period of time but in large amounts. These can be found in the form of capsules or chewable tablets.
In shortage of Vitamin C, we can be affected by scurvy, anemia, pain in the limbs, etc. Sometimes different parts of our body can be swelled up if we require vitamin C.
Vitamin C is very popular as a remedy for the common cold. It can also keep our bodies healthy and smooth. Vitamin C can provide us strong teeth.
It is also a strong and powerful antioxidant that can fight against free radicals and slow down the premature aging process of our body.
Vitamin C is really good for our skin too. This antioxidant can treat dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Brings a natural glow to the skin. it also works as a UV protector from sunlight.
According to the characteristics of Vitamin C, it's a water-soluble vitamin and can't be stored inside our body. That's why we always need to take foods that have plenty of Vitamin C
Fruits that contain plenty of Vitamin C such as kiwifruit, lemons, oranges, strawberries, grapes, papaya, etc. Kiwifruits are the king of vitamin C.
Among the vegetable broccoli, spinach, tomato, cabbage, etc provides a good amount of Vitamin C.
Therefore let's not fall into Vitamin C deficiency. Being aware from before is the best choice. And let's always keep the foods that contain Vitamin C on the main diet list. Best of luck!
