In einem Interview mit der Neuen Osnabrücker Zeitung hat der Star-Trek-Darsteller George Takei den Vulkanier-Gruß als Mittel gegen den Coronavirus empfohlen:
„Ich schüttle keine Hände mehr. Wenn mir jemand seine reicht, erhebe ich meine Hand, spreize nur die Finger und sage: Live long and prosper. Das hat eine so wichtige Bedeutung, in jeder Hinsicht: Lebe lang – und wachse.“

Ich finde: Der Vulkanier-Gruß ist als Mittel zur Wahrung der sozialen Distanz natürlich grundsätzlich geeignet, greift aber noch ein wenig zu kurz. Richtig konsequent wäre es doch, den Spaceballs-Gruß zu nutzen:
