INTRODUCTION
They say life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans. Time passes faster than the drop of a hat and before we can shouted to those beside us "Jack Robbinson!" So many memories were made in what moved like a split second. It was a year filled with more memories than any year that I have ever experienced.
Memories form a big part of our lives; some make us sad, unhappy and depressed; some give us hope, faith and promise. The story of my 2021 is a romantic mixture of both types of memories to make me the person I am today. I hope that I am able to captivate you as you journey with me through this story of my year.
The major highlights of my year started from August so I will begin from August in this captivating story. Prior to August, I had a very normal, routine sort of life so let me not bore you all with that part of the story.
Enjoy!
AUGUST: STEEMIT, MY LIFE-CHANGING OPPORTUNITY
Like I said earlier, life is what happens when you're busy making other plans. So life came to me and this statement became real to me in the month of August.
I was heavily planning on how to attain some level of financial freedom or stability during this month. It all happened for me one fateful afternoon after an Anatomy class at my lecture theatre.
I saw @emmanuel-malume, a secondary school friends who had always had eges for money making opportunities, outside the hall and, as fate may have it, he was talking to @alphafx and @rexxalo, both of whom I had not known.
I joined in their discussion as they were teasing each other on how they have become successful in a site they kept talking about, Steemit. I was keen to know all about it as I could see the happiness wrotten all over them because of how much they had accomplished in so little time.
@emmanuel-malume then invited me to a meeting that was to be held that evening by the country representative, @whitestallion, whom I had also not known that time. So, of course, I attended and my life was changed forever.
I was blown away and humbled by the people I saw and the success stories I heard on that round meeting take that evening. It was extremely touching and inspiring and I was so fired up to become smashing success on Steemit like the rest of them.
I've always heard this phrase, "Men are made in meetings" or "Meetings Make Men" and truly, that meeting made me. I was ready to do what I needed to do to also become a succeaa story like the rest of them.
SEPTEMBER: MY EARLY DAYS ON STEEMIT
My early days were filled with so much confusion and tension on Steemit. Luckily, I had people around me to guide me and direct me and who were always willing to answer my questions on Steemit. I really thank my helpful and ever-supportive country representative, @whitestallion for always being there for me as well as the other newbies that joined.
As days went by, I engaged in contests, some of which I did quite well and some of which I didn't earn any rewards. The latter were really humbling moments that tested my resilience to keep koving on while the former were motivators to keep me going.
My Best Post On Steemit
I was enjoying the process all through September while doing it with my academic work and preparing for some up coming exams.
I was really happy with all the progress I had made so far in one month.

OCTOBER:JOINING THE STEEMIT CRYPTO ACADEMY /MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL EXAMS
After working really hard to reach the requirements for joining the Steemit Crypto Academy, I finally made it and was granted access to the Beginner's fixed courses.
I was really happy to be there and was proud of the progress I had really made so far on Steemit.
However, my happiness was cut short by my upcoming medical professional exams. I was forced to stop working on building my account on Steemit and was forced to concentrate on school so as to do well in the exams. These exams required a high level of concentration and a lot of things in my life really depended on me passing this exams.
So I took a long break from Steemit to really focus on my exams.
NOVEMBER: MY MOCK EXAMINATION
The month of November was a really long, hard month for me and for my colleagues. We had to read/revise in 2 weeks all that we have studied for the past 18 months.
Luckily for me, I had a study group and we had gone a very long way academically. We stayed up so long nights preparing for the exams.
Our exams were already really hyped by our seniors so we were quite anxious and worked really hard towards it. Normally, the MOCK exams are just preparations for the main exams that were to come up in the ending parts of November and run through the early days of December.
Here are some pictures of my friends and I studying.
So we wrote the MOCK exams. The results came out much later. I failed my Anatomy and I cried really hard because of it. I was really scared that I was going to fail Anatomy at the end of the day and I was really scared. Actually, everyone on my study group failed Anatomy and I was as scared as hell. There was massive failure of the course across my class and there was panic everywhere.
Despite the horrible experience, I had to really pray hard to God and to pick up myself and keep trying hard.
Our main examination started on 22nd November and it began with the same dreaded course, Anatomy. However, I had really studied and done all I could for it and put everything in the hands of God.
Tension was all over the air as my colleagues and I marched into our various exam halls to write the exams we had started preparing for 18 months ago. The exams would determine the career paths of some while leaving some depressed and really sad if they could not make it.
DECEMBER: CELEBRATIONS EVERYWHERE
Our main examinations came and passed. Tension was high and spirits were hot in anticipation. A lot about the lives of myself, as well as some of my colleagues, would be determined by the result that was to be released. Grateful to God, I passed and so as all the members of my study group. We we all happy.
I then went home to celebrate the Christmas holiday with my family members. Coming back home with such good news made them happy and made the year end on a very wonderful note.
CONCLUSION
I really thank @boss75 for this amazing opportunity to allow me to express myself and share how I spent my 2021. I am really happy to share it with all of you on this wonderful community. It is my hope that the year 2022 will be a much better year.
I am happy to be a member of the Steemit platform and I believe that, with the help of God, hard work and dedication, I will make a lot of my dreams come through.
Steemit is truly a unique and wonderful opportunity that I hope to grow with over time.
