Kabbadi is a national sport of Bangladesh. This sport is very popular among the people of Bangladesh. Because this game is the game of the people in the rural areas of Bangladesh. At present, the popularity of cricket in Bangladesh has increased and the popularity of Kabbadi has not diminished. Because most of the people of Bangladesh live in villages. And so this Kabbadi is a very popular sport for everyone in the village. There is a tradition of this game that the people of the village combine several villages to make this game a tournament. And almost everyone who can play the game at the village level participates in it. And the biggest thing is that a lot of people come to watch this game.
This game was first played in rural areas. And its name was Hadudu. Then it is renamed Kabaddi. However, it was first formed in 1978 by the Asian Kabaddi Federation. Its federation is made up of five countries. Moreover, the first match of this Kabaddi Federation was held in 1980. And this game is in Kolkata. Then gradually the popularity of this game began to grow. After that, the game did not have to look back with popularity. And so its popularity can be said to be more at the present time.
In order to increase the popularity of the game of Kabaddi, many countries Participates the Kabaddi World Cup. And this Kabaddi World Cup is organized by (IKF) International Kabaddi Federation. Through this game competition is organized. At present, the game hosts two sports tournaments for men and women (IKF). The international tournament started in 2004 but it has not been held more than once. Every time it has been held, India has been the champion. And the last champion is Pakistan 2020.
Each player has a playground. In the same way, kabaddi has a certain size of playground. But a different one. Because a playground is for women. And the other is for men. The difference of kabaddi playground is different. And those are
boys' kabaddi field is 10.50 meters long and 10 meters wide. And the girls' kabaddi playground is 11 meters long and 6 meters wide. There is a line drawn right in the middle of the playground called the midline. Two lines are drawn in two halves on either side of this midline called the coal line. For dead or out players there are two lines 1 meter apart on either side of the field called the lobby.
Kabaddi will have 12 players in each team. For the first time there will be seven players and an additional five will sit.
The total game will be 25 minutes. Only 20 minutes for girls and five minutes break in between. If a player leaves the field he will be out of the game. According to the rules of the game, you have to play kabaddi kabaddi as many times as you can in one breath. Kabaddi can attack the opposing team together while saying kabaddi.
