Hello Steemians,
I hope all are you doing well. Today I'll share about Geothermal energy.
Geothermal energy is a technology that makes use of the Earth's natural energy. From a practical perspective, here is a summary of how the process works.

There are many sources of energy that are recognized around the world. Solar energy, use the sun's power, and hydroelectric energy, uses the power of water to generate electricity. Geothermal energy is an often-overlooked, friendly energy source that should be included alongside the others. The use of the Earth's heat to generate energy and warmth for human use is known as geothermal energy.

The term "geothermal energy" is derived from the Greek terms "earth heat," "geo," and "therme." The Earth's core generates a huge amount of heat, reaching temperatures of up to 9,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat is then transferred from the Earth's core to the mantle, which is a rock crust that surrounds the core. Due to the extreme heat, this rock liquefies and transforms into magma (molten rock). Water gathers in columns or reserves in this magma layer. A geothermal reservoir is a reservoir of trapped water that may be heated to temperatures of roughly 700 degrees Fahrenheit. Engineers "tap" into this geothermal water and use the ensuing hot water and steam for various uses when they want to use geothermal energy.

In geothermal energy plants, the steam generated by tapping into geothermal water reservoirs is used to power turbines. These turbines spin, creating electricity that can be used to power industries or even households. In 1904, Italy built the first engineered power plant.

Geothermal power plants now provide approximately 7000 megawatts of electricity each year. There are geothermal power stations in 21 nations throughout the world. Each year, enough geothermal energy is created in the United States to equal the burning of 60 million barrels of oil. For example, geothermal energy is a significant source of energy.

Thousands of years ago, geothermal energy was employed by societies all across the world. The method of harnessing geothermal energy has been very straightforward compared to other energy sources, and the components involved are well-known. The idea of tapping into very hot water from the Earth's magma layers may appear high-tech, but once you've done it, it's simple to maintain and use as a continuous power source.

Another alternative energy source is the greatest analogy for geothermal energy production. It functions for hydropower. Turbines that generate power are spun by water. But, in the case of geothermal energy, the water comes from the Earth's internal chambers, usually in the form of steam.

I hope you guys like it.
