Hello, Steemians!
I hope you're all doing well. After the holy month of Ramadan, I'm back with renewed vigour. I'm going to write about Japan's suicide forest on my blog, and it's not a joke.
The Aokigahara forest near Mount Fuji in Japan has become a site where people go to die. It's hardly shocking that a body was discovered there. A sign at the forest's entrance informs visitors that "life is a beautiful gift" given to them by their parents.
"Think about your parents, siblings, or children again quietly," the placard states in Japanese. "Please don't suffer in silence; get help first."
The forest is dark and full of trees, and phone reception is nearly non-existent between them, and light scarcely gets through. The place is terrifying. There is a reason for the numerous white strings you may see while walking.
When people travel to the forest to commit suicide, they tie a line to the tree and drag it back to safety in case they change their minds, which they rarely do.
They go into the woods and never come out.
Suicide is not a solution to any problem. That's why it's very important to talk with your friends and relatives.
I hope you guys like it.
