I hope you all are well with your prayers I am also well by the grace of Allah. Today I am going to participate in "Photography" contest organized by @steem-bangladesh.

Edible red boletus

The cap can be up to 20 cm in diameter, the cap color of most individuals is dark brown, dark brick red, sometimes with a green tint. The surface of the cap is dry and dull.

Growth stages of brick red boletus

The shape of the cap in young fruit bodies is spherical, then hemispherical, cushion-shaped. On older fruiting bodies, the cap flattens and turns even upwards. The cap is very hard fleshy.

In young mushrooms, the tubes are yellow-olive, then orange, and finally brick red, blood red. When pressed it gets damaged and turns brown in color.

Legs of young fruiting body yellow, visible fine mesh, red villi. In mature specimens, filter color is dominant. The young fruit body has a large leg, becoming cylindrical over time. It is filled inside and turns dark blue when damaged.

The flesh is yellow in color, bluish-grey, bluish when damaged or cut. It is very hard and firm. Slightly mushroomy and mild in flavor and aroma.

event Often it is found in mountainous areas, in spruce and fir forests. It often grows under beeches and oaks. It prefers acidic soils, but can also be found in calcareous soils, such as around the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It was one of the first porcini mushrooms to be found in the wild. It appears in May and grows till November.

application A very tasty edible mushroom when boiled or fried. Valued for its hardness, similar to meat in texture, which remains after heat treatment. In raw form it is slightly toxic and can cause stomach problems.
