According to the daily contest of the Steem Bangladesh Community, today I will write about a sport, which is not generally played in all over the world. Though it is less famous, I want to get it introduced with you. Hope you will find it very much useful and entertaining.
INTRODUCTION WITH HISTORY
Ice hockey is a team sports, which is to play with several players as like as cricket or football. But main factor to play this game is that, it has to play on the such surface, which is covered with ice. Isn't it interesting? It is a physical contacting sport just like football. This sport is vastly popular in Canada, Eastern Europe, Northern Europe, and also in the U.S.A and the interesting fact is that, the Ice hockey is the national winter sport of Canada.

The field hockey was successfully developed in the 17th Century in the Great Britain and there is some proven example that ice hockey has been playing since then. Carl Gidén and Patrick Houda, those who showed that how to play skates with sticks on the Thames river, which becomes frozen during winter. This incident was took place in the time between 1796 to 1797.
A British Royal Navy Officer named John Franklin, who wrote about playing hockey on the icey surface. On the early 1830's a lieutenant-governor named Archibald Campbell, who played skating on the the river along with his family. In the time of the mid 1840's a British Army officer wrote, "I began to skate on this year and improved quickly and it had great fun at hockey on the icey surface".
Though this sport was playing scatterdly, but the main development of the game was took place in Montreal, Canada. The first ever official ice hockey was took place in Montreal, between two teams, which was included the players of James Creighton and several McGill University students. If we want to know about the professional era of this sport, we have to search for the match, which was played between Michigan and Ontario in Western Pennsylvania Hockey League on the year of 1904.
INEVITABLE ELEMENTS TO PLAY
It is a physical contacting game, so it is very anticipated that injury can be happened at any time because the court is covered with slippery ice. So it is very difficult to control speed and body balance. A player can gain speed between 30–50 km/h.

There is a certain abridgement that the players can direct the rubber puck with any part of their own body. But there is a major rule that players can't retain the puck by their hand and it is forbidden using their hands to jab the puck to their mates unless they are in the opponent players zone.
Three very important rules of conducting in ice hockey that limitation of the movement of the puck and they are offside icing, and the puck is going out of play. A player is marked offside if he deliberately enters into his adversary zone in the past of the puck itself. It is a one hour game, divided into 3 parts and every parts are consisted of 20 minutes. There can be overtime playing due to loss time.
