Hello friends,
How are you all? Hope that you are all well by the grace of almighty.I am going to participate in the "Macro Photography" contest organized by steem Bangladesh. And that is why today I am sharing with you some of the macro photography I have taken.
Macro Photography is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects and living organisms like insects, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size. Wikipedia
The macrographics that I will share with you today are of an insect. The name of this insect is transverse ladybird. It is an insect of ladybug bettle species. This insect is also known as Coccinella transversalis by many. This insect is found from India across southern and southeastern Asia to Malaysia and Australia. This insect is belongs to Kingdom Animalia, Phylum Arthropoda and Class Insecta.
Measuring 3.8 to 6.7 millimetres (0.15 to 0.26 in) long and 3.3 to 5.45 millimetres (0.130 to 0.215 in) wide, the transverse ladybird shows little variation across its wide range. It has a black head with predominantly bright red or orange elytra boldly marked with a black band down the midline and two lateral three-lobed markings.
I took these pictures from a Napier meadow next to my house. These types of insects usually love to live in green grass. They survive by eating soft green grass.
Below are some more macro photography of this spider:
