Today i am going to review of a famous movie

"DEVDAS"

Until the release of Devdas, Bollywood made this movie as the most expensive film, with a budget of Rs 50 crore in Indian currency. The film has released in seven languages versions: Hindi, English, French, German, Mandarin, Thai, and Punjabi.

Introduction:

Devdas is a romantic Bengali novel written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay is one of the most popular fiction writers in South Asia and Bengali language. Devdas is one of his many literary works.
Nineteen films have been made in the Indian subcontinent based on Devdas' separation for Paru. Devdas is regarded as a classic example of a detached eternal lover.

STORY:

In Cinema Devdas is the son of Brahmin zamindar And Paru belongs from a middle class family.Devdas and Parvati have been close friends since childhood which later turned into love. This two family live beside in a same village.Parvati & Devdas doing everything togather like fish hunting, goinig to school, playing etc and they called each other paru & devda.

In the mean time Devdas was sent to kolkata for Study purpose.After spent long time he is back in his town in vacation time.Paru was so excited for devda's retrun.They feeling something like that they are getting adult now.Paru thinking convert their relationship to Marriage.According their villages tradition paru's Parents bring their marrage proposal to Devdas family.

In the mean time devdas parents geeting happy for this proposal but after deep thinking, devdas family denied this proposal for that reson is parvatis family is not belongs from zamidar Status.Moreover, in Parvati's family, the custom of accepting 'paan' from the groom's family has been going on for a long time in their tradition. Devdas' mother therefore is not agreed with this, considering Parvati's family as a "small house bought and sold". Devdas' father, , also supports this argument. Parvati's father felt humiliated and arranged a marriage for Parvati in a richer house than Devdas Family.

After Parvati find out what happed in devdas house.She looks sad but bring hope that devda will manage it.Then parvati meet with devda at night and request to make everything fine.

After meet Parvati devda told his father about this matter but he denied to solve this.

After that scene Devdas fled from home to Kolkata. He wrote a letter to Parvati informing her that he no longer wanted to have this relationship.

In that situation Parvati is getting ready for marriage. After that Devdas says he doesn't want to go back and scolds him for his cowardice. Still, she tells Devdas to see Devdas at least once before he dies. Devdas is committed to this condition.

Parvatu married a zamindar named Bhuvan Chowdhury in the village of Hatipota. Bhuvan Chowdhury's ex-wife has died and he has already three children from his ex-wife, who are about the same age or older as Parvati.

After reaching kolkata Devdas make friendship with Chunilal and through him he met a Baiji named Chandramukhi. She falls in love with Devdas, though Devdas continues to hate her. When the depressed Devdas started drinking too much, his body gradually broke down. Chandramukhi try to take care of him.Devdas keeps comparing Parvati and Chandramukhi in his mind and he tells Chandramukhi about Paru.

Devdas gradually increased the level of alcohol and this led to the extreme harmful of his health.

Chandramukhi realizes that the real man inside Devdas has fallen today. The aimless Devdas is finally forced to fall in love with Chandramukhi.

Sensing imminent death, Devdas set out for Parvati in the village of Hatipota to fulfill his earlier promise to Paru. Arriving in front of Parvati's house, Devdas died on a dark winter night, groaning in physical and mental agony. Upon hearing the news of Devdas' death.

Parvati rushes there, but before reaching there, the people of the house do not allow her to cross the threshold of the house.

Conclusion:

Like many of his other novels, Saratchandra paints a stark picture of the cruelty of the Bangla society at that time, which became a major obstacle to the happy outcome of a true love.he is very much success to gain his goal.Director convert this novel as a movie perfectly.

My Opinion :

This film is very pathetic and emotional. No one can control their emotion if they watch this movie by their eyes of heart. So i will request to all of you for watching this dramatic film.
