The term e-sports is no longer unfamiliar. It can be said to have started its journey on a wide scale from the beginning of the century. The journey of international standard sports started in 1st Bangladesh through WCG (world cyber games). In 2010, a number of players from Bangladesh got the opportunity to participate in WCG's international event.

Although transparency was maintained at first, later on some irregularities were seen in WCG Bangladesh part. At one point WCG withdrew their franchise from Bangladesh.Besides, in Bangladesh, mainly gaming cafe based tournaments are held throughout the year. The amount was much higher when there was wcg.
