Lead is a chemical element with the latin name plumbum and it also has an atomic 82 .
It is a heavy metal which is denser than most of the common element we know.Lead is very soft and can be beaten into any form or shape that you want it to be and it has a low melting .Lead is silvery on colour and can change to light gray when exposed to the air.lead is an element which is abundant in the solar system.

Lead is a toxic and highly poisonous metal which when inhaled or swallowed into the body is affect almost every organ or system in the body .When the lead is swallowed it is absorbed into the bloodstream this affect the normal functioning
of enzmes in the body as tye lead react with the most important metals in the enzymes. Some of the metals the lead react with in the in the enzymes are are the iron ,zinc and that of calcium.

The lead metal can damage the brain by mimicking the calcium in the enzymes the lead the cross the barrier that send blood to brain. When this happens it degrades the myelin sheath which covers the neurons it does this by decreasing the number of neurons .It also compromise the normal function of the neurotransmission pathways and also reduce the neuronal growth. This affect blood flow to the brain hence it leading to brain damage cortex problems.

The lead in the human body absorb Porphobilinogen which prevent the formation of Porphobilinogen and the conversion of iron to Protoporphyrin_IX this results in the improper function of the heme synthesis to cause anemia. The increase in blood pressure of middle aged and old people can cause anaemia

Conclusion
Lead is a toxic chemical that can have a lot of health implication to the people who come into contact with it.The heavy metal cause a lot of chronic diseases which result in death .The human exposure to lead is a global problem since it cut across almost every part of our lives. This ranges from battery manufacturing to recycling ,mining and smelting since all this processes happens in the individual countries we find ourselves.
So on this note i entreat everyone to be very careful and strictly follow law rules and regulations guiding the use of lead.Do this and safe yourself and others from the maladies of lead.
