Al-Biruni (963-1047) was a medieval Arab philosopher, mathematician, physicist, chemist, and the best astronomer of the age. He also had special knowledge in geography, linguistics, and medical sciences.
According to European scholars, al-Biruni was the encyclopedia itself, each of his books was a source of knowledge. Indian scholars used to call Al-Biruni the Sea of Knowledge.

He believed in his heart that God knows everything. Therefore, the servant of God cannot be ignorant. He nurtured this belief and walked the path of knowledge for four decades. His life was full of divine blessings. He traveled extensively in physics, mathematics, history, geography, and metaphysics, and studied Ibn Sina.

He was also famous as a linguist. He himself has mentioned a total of 114 books of Al-Biruni. Of these, 103 books have been completed and 10 incomplete books are mentioned. He was fluent in Arabic, Persian, Syrian, Greek, Sanskrit, Hebrew, and other languages.

He discovered a lot of information in trigonometry. Nicolaus Copernicus said that the planets, including the Earth, orbit the Sun, but 425 years before Corponicus was born, Al Beruni said, "the Earth rotates in a circular motion."

He found the mistake in the calculation of the decimals of Ptolemy and Jacob and gave his correct idea. He was the first to unravel the mystery of natural springs and artesian wells. His fame as an astrologer was immense. All the prophecies he made were correct. He distinguished the speed of light from the speed of sound. He discovered 10 errors in Aristotle's book Heaven. He also discovered the relationship between religion and science.

Another of his notable works on plants was that he said that the number of petals of a flower could be 3,4,5,6 or 6 but never 7 or 9. In the words of Al-Biruni, "The amazing fact of plant diversity is that the number of petals, when they bloom, according to the rules of geometry, in most cases the upper part forms a circle ... You will seldom find any flower petals that have 8 or 9 petals."

Because you can never arrange them according to the formula of balanced circular geometry. The number of petals may be 3,4,5,6 or even up to 18 ".
The image is about a thousand years old. Where Al-Biruni has described the different stages of lunar rotation.
