Embedded systems are is a type of small microprocessor that is that is designed to work on computers with the computer to perfrom specific functions. They also comes with their custom designed software that will be used to operate these systems. Embedded systems are designed in such a way that the have have specified functions in any machinery that they kept in to operate. Embedded systems can also be an independent system on it's own or it can be part of a larger system.
Microprocessors main core ductions are to do computations in real-time. Embedded systems can also be very complex in the sense that it can be a single microprocessor functioning or a group of microprocessors working as one unit. They can have no user interface all the the way to have user interfaces that are quite complex for the average end user to operate. The complex of the fuction or the user interface of an embedded system will mainly depend on the the fuctions that are to be performed by the system.
Embedded systems are being used in the many gadgets from smartphone and digital watches to the microwaves and hybrid cars. In todays world embedded systems are taking over the processor that are be made. Most of processors today that are being manufactured are embedded systems.
Types of embedded systems
Embedded systems as of this moment is classified into four different sections or categories and each of these has how the function and where they are useful. These four are the stand alone embedded systems,the real time embedded systems, the networked embedded systems and the mobile embedded systems. But I will not go deep to them in this article.

Embedded systems functions in such a way that the microcontrollers manage other times it is the digital signal processor that mage the embedded systems of any device. The application-specific integrated circuits (ASIC), the field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA), gate arrays and GPU technology are integrated in some parts of the system that are dedicated to managing the electronic and the michenical interface of the embedded systems.
Firmware is the refrence to the programming instructions of an embedded system that are being stored in the read only memories to avoid deleting. Embedded systems only run on a limited resources that are allocated to it bt the computer hardware system. Peripherals devices are the only way that allow embedded systems to communicate with the environment. The input output devices are also another way that can be used to communicate with these systems.

The Basic Structures of an Embedded Systems
Th basic structure of an embedded system is that complicated as it might. Since embedded systems perfrom specified functions, they are also limited on what they can do. The structure of an embedded system of the most basicform comes with a sensor. The sensor systems of embedded systems only has the fuction of measuring physical qualities and the translating them into digital signals that can be understood by the embedded system. The sensor also have the capability to store some of the measured quantities into it's memory.
The system is also equipped with an analog to digital. This helps it convert anolog into digital signals that can be stored in memory. The also have a digital to anolog converter too. This will convert from the digital to the analog signals. The embedded systems also comes with an actuator. What the actuator does is to compare the data given by the digital anolog and the output that has been stored. It then stores the output if it is approved.

The future of embedded systems is quite broad. This is as a result of new technologies that are emerging and most of them will be integrating embedded systems to them ro improve functionality and make their system smaller. An example is the virtual reality, the Augumented Reality technology, machine learning artificial intelligence and many more fields of study in the next few years. The cognitive tech embedded into these devices are in such a way that the are energy efficient and save more energy. The also have improved security systems and cloud computing and other network mesh technologies that will make them the very best at what they do as they will be able to work in real-time.
In conclusion,
We know that embedded systems are in every part of our lives now from the mobile phones to home appliances. Embedded systems are making their entey into evry aspects of technology today.
