Hello everyone, hope y'all doing great over there. So it's been raining for like three days now in my area now, and I have been inside my room most of the time.

Today, I had a thought of my love for android, and I decided to share it with this community.

Why I Love Android

Most time, a lot of us use android phones, but we don't really use it to the fullest. Many of us use them just for calls, texts, photographs, chats, etc, but it goes way beyond that.

One thing I love most about android is customization. Customization in the sense that android is an open source operating system and anyone can modify or customize it the way they like.

Apart from just making calls, texts, etc, we also change our ring tones, background pictures, home launchers and so on. They are part of customization. There are some operating systems which don't allow changing of home launchers, and for me, I really do love changing home launchers. I don't stick to the default home launcher.

If you search the Google playstore for home launchers, you will see hundreds of home launchers, each with their various functions, designs, styles, and customizations.

There are some things you can't actually change or modify in android, but if you have root access to the android device, you can surely change or edit those things. For example, if you have root access on your android device, you can get into the core of the device and change the boot animation (The animation that plays when you turn on your phone).

You can also change the boot sound of the device and use your own tune you want, but it should not be too long, but almost the same duration of the stock boot sound.

You can as well change the tunes of your google keyboard whenever you press keys. It really makes your android device stand out of the crowd.

Lastly, you can also install custom ROMs and custom recoveries.

Custom recovery is another mode on android which you can boot into to perform some certain tasks. For example, if you want to hard reset your android back to stock (The way it was when you first purchased it), due to lag and malfunctions, you can simply boot into the android's recovery mode and the hard reset it. When it's done, you android will reboot and everything will be back to normal. I will come up with a post on that shortly.

To enter into the android's recovery defers from one device to another. The same method you used on your android, might be different from what your friend might use.

The basic way to boot into the recovery mode is to power down your android and wait for 1 minute. Then, press and hold the volume up button and the power button simultaneously, and then allow to boot. This will make it boot to the recover mode. As I stated earlier, the combinations differ from one device to another.

With the installation of custom recoveries, you can as well install custom ROMs for your device. For example, if you have a Samsung android, you can download and install a Cyanogen Mode custom ROM for it. These custom ROMs have different amazing features you're gonna love, but if done wrongly, it might render your device useless.

Most of these customisations, especially the ones you have change from the core of the device, require root access, and without root access, you can not modify or customise those things.

What is Root Access

Root access is simply getting administrative or full control over your android device. It allows you access everything to the core of the android system, but it also leaves your device vulnerable to threats. But if you know what you are doing, you can be safe from those threats.

How can I get Root Access on my device

To get root access on your android is quite simple. You can download, install, and launch Kingroot application and then follow the instructions on your screen. It takes just 2 minutes to successfuly root you android device.

If you have a PC, you can as well download, install, and launch the windows version of kingroot, connect your devuce to your PC, and then follow the instructions on your screen.

For over 6 years now when I started using android and got to know about android customization, I have always kept rooting any android device I own to fully customise it.

I hope you learned something today. Do have a great day. Thanks for stopping by.
