Explaining the concept of blockchain and crypto to a potential recruit is not always easy. I’ve been on steemit for less than two weeks and I know that I would not have made it as far as I am without one thing: practical example.

In my two weeks on steemit I have been able to get a number of people interested in the platform just by sharing my experiences with them. People are always interested in anything that brings money so I share my earnings on whatsapp and twitter.

The crypto rewards are always the initial motivation but I go on to explain to people that they can explore their passions by posting what they enjoy while adding value to the blockchain. I show people my piano blog (which only has 3 posts as at the time of writing this) and they see that I earn just by talking about what I love. Steemit brings out the creativity inside a lot of people because it rewards them for talking about things they are passionate about. Sometimes it’s not worth it if you’re not having fun.

One problem with delving into a potential business opportunity is always startup costs. This is a problem that steemit does not pose. I explain to people that they don’t have to pay anything to join the steemit blockchain. Also, they don’t have to deal with referrals. It’s basically an earn-at-your-pace situation.

Steemit, for newbies, is very overwhelming. I was very much confused when I joined steemit. I’m just glad I had a friend like @alphafx to guide me through the whole thing. Not all newbies have people to guide them initially. While recruiting people on steemit, we shouldn’t just let them go after signing them up. We should help them take those baby steps till they can stand on their own. We should be practical with them and encourage them to grow on the platform. After all, a good deed is It’s own reward.
