Against the Wind - A Visual Story (12 Photos)

As you maybe still remember, I do live in a small port city Klaipeda on Eastern coast of Baltic Sea. The city actually pretty small and mostly without all those big cities mess, which I do count as a kind of privilege. Moreover, have a possibility to visit seaside at any moment as I wish choosing few directions.

The closest one to be reached by car is Northern Gates to the port. Maybe about 10 kilometres to drive and car parking place is about 100 meters from the beach. But we are not talking about to go there for sunbath, for this purpose I would much prefer to take small ferry and go via gulf to Curonian Spit with it's untouched nature and perfect small white sand dunes and beaches.

From other side, if I go for some landscape sunset shooting, it makes sense to go more far away, some additional 5 kilometres to so called Dutchman's Cup with very interesting shore line. Stones, fallen trees, logs - a lot of subjects for a good foreground.

And finally, sometimes it is just nice to go for a breath of fresh air. Then Gates location seems to be nice choice, while obviously you can expect much more people there doing same :)

And even during terrible weather You can always meet this Man with a Fish walking against strong wind! Very nice sculpture actually appeared only few years ago. Perfect subject for a photography anyway

And from old sightseeings we still do have Old Anchor and Old Lighthouse (well its still in working condition with some radio equipment on it).

That was pretty cool and calm day last May with perfect cloud formations making all views around just spectacular.
