MAKING THE BARSOAP
Ingredients
  • 7 liters of water
  • 2 cups of Sodium Sulphate
  • 2 cups of Calcium
  • 2 cups of soda ash
  • 3 cups of caustic soda
  • 3 liters of palm kernel oil
  • 3 tablespoons of Sodium Silicate.
MATERIALS
  • Big Steel Pot
  • 2 turning sticks
  • 3 industrial gas cookers or heaters
  • 4 moulds.

PROCEDURES

STEP 1

Measure out water into a big pot

STEP 2

Add 2 cups of sodium sulphate and mix well.

STEP 3

Add 2 cups of calci and stir well.

STEP 4

Add 2 cups of soda ash and stir well.

STEP 5

Add 3 cups of caustic soda and mix well till particles disappear.

STEP 6

Add 2 table spoons of silicate and stir well

STEP 7

Add 3 liters of oil and stir until it becomes thick and smooth.

STEP 8

After mixing light the gas and and quickly place the pot on the fire on low heat. Turn with turning stick while cooking.

STEP 9

Add perfumes as you stir, check if mixtire is well cooked by dropping little on your palm. If the mixture dries immediately, it means its ready for moulding.

  • Set your mould in a clean ventilated area.
  • Line the mould with nylon if you using wooden or aluminium mould before you fill it. Now fill your soap in the mould.
  • unmould after 24hours.
  • Cut stamp and package.
