Steeming Community Contest | "Throwback: Travel Memories" || Farewell visit

Hello dear friends!

Today we meet once again, this time to remember. Our friends invite us to take a trip down memory lane and share it with you through our photos and stories.

I want to tell you about my trip to my brother's house, one that we made as a family from the city where I live (Cumaná) to Caracas, specifically to Caricuao. It will always be in my memory for many reasons, among them, a very important one, this was the last time I saw my brother alive. It was a special holiday in which we shared a lot as a family.

When we arrived, we went straight to my father's house. They were waiting for us there because we hadn't seen each other for 7 years and when we managed to go, it was a very special time.

After settling our things, grooming ourselves and eating we shared a while until it was time to go to sleep and the next day we went to my brother's house.

Today I will write about one of those days we shared with my brother and his family, The visit to Caricuao Park.

That day we got up and left very early, taking into account that in Caracas it always takes more time than one imagines to go to certain places at certain times of the day.

Unfortunately the camera with which we took the most beautiful pictures and videos was damaged, without giving us a chance to save what we had in our memory, but I will tell you what I can't show you. The zoo is located in the Av. Ppal de La Hacienda, Caracas 1000, Distrito Capital, at that time it was very well kept, its preventive maintenance was permanent and it was a very visited place because of the natural variety it had. In its interior there was a place where the public, in an orderly manner, could share with some of the animals that lived there.

While the youngest ones played with the hill as if it were a slide. The adults sat down to rest under the shade of a tree.

Naturaleza verde, fresca, viva

A month after we moved to our home in Cumaná, we received the sudden news that my brother had fallen ill and that they had discovered a tumour and that it was cancerous. They promptly began to treat him but it took over his stomach and metastasised and in less than 2 months he died in the clinic.

Having shared laughter and memories with him 2 months earlier, I had to go back and see his lifeless body. Despite all the sadness in my heart, I thanked God for allowing me the blessing of sharing with him, just like when we were children!

sad memory though....but visiting him earlier was a blessing in disguise.
