Good evening steemians!

How are you all doing? I hope you are all fine. Today, please allow me to share with you our @actofkindness activity in Olango Island.

Last week, my wife @kyrie1234 told me that they (with her co-teachers/steemians) planned to distribute rice and groceries at Olango Island. He asked me if I want to go with her. Of course, without second thought, I answered her that I wanted to go with her. I didn’t hesitate to go with her since the feeling of sharing what we have was unfathomable. We can’t measure what we felt and it felt like heaven once we saw people smiling receiving a gift.

Struggle is Real

The time has finally came. Unfortunately, there were lots of people waiting for the boat and fast craft to send them to the said island. More or less, there were 300-500 people queing at the place. After 2 hours, its our turn to ride the fast craft and it takes only 8-10 minutes to be in the destination.

When we reached their place, a very delicious lunch was already prepared on the table. And we really had a very full tummy eating the fresh seafoods and shells. By the way I’m with @fabio2614, @bisayakalog, @traderpaw with her husband @gilbertthegreat and of course my wife @kyrie1234.

The Packing of Rice and Grocery

After eating, we then proceeded to the “Nipa House” where the goods already awaited us there. We then started to pack the rice as well as the groceries and these are the good we prepared:
  1. 2 kilos of rice
  2. 4 pcs Noodles
  3. 2 pcs coffee
  4. 2 pcs energen drink

The Distribution

We then distributed the groceries we prepared. These might be not enough for their 1 month meal but upon receiving, their faces were so appreciative and they were so grateful for the blessings they had received. And as we roam around the place, the heat of the us was also with us but we don’t mind it and we haven’t felt it because of the joy of the heart we felt. While doing the activity, I came to realize that we were still blessed because we have small amount of money in our pocket that could provide our daily needs whereas these people in Olango really had hard time providing their single meal. If only I had bundles of money, I will provide their 1 year meal but then my money was just limited. I just hope and pray that these people could conquer the poverty they were facing right now. And someday, they would be successful and their turn to help the needy.

Before I end this, I just want to extend my gratefulness to sir @juichi and mam @fabio2614 for being the best moderator who were approachable whenever we had questions about steemit and to mam @cryptokannon of @steemingcuration for being the best leader who look at the brighter future of the community. SALAMAT kaayo ninyo!
