Purity is not an act to earn God's approval, He's approved of us already. We didn't have to put in any work, our duty was just to receive.

However, having been saved and recreated, embracing a life of purity becomes the honour and reverence we give to Abba for choosing our imperfect bodies for His earthly residence. A life of purity becomes our reasonable act of worship, not just the songs and lifting of hands.
Embracing purity means acknowledging who lives in you, and with that knowledge, rejecting association with anything that prevents His expression through you. So, it is no longer a case of "it is my life and nobody's business" but a conscious replacement of our human imperfections with the Spirit's expressions, allowing Him take the lead while we obediently follow.
