“Don't Give Up on Steemit!” An Open Letter To The Newcomers.

in hive-139293 •  4 years ago

This pandemic has brought nothing but despair to us people who have everyday needs. Because of these needs, we tend to find jobs to fulfill our daily necessities. For this very reason, the number of people who desperately want to be a part of steemit is steadfastly increasing. Every day our group chat is filled with new people who recently joined or were invited by others.

Naturally, as new people, they'd have trouble figuring out the ins and outs of Steemit, which is unfortunate for them, seeing as they're going to have to compete with seasoned users. Even when making their introductory post, they require guidance. As one of the more experienced bloggers on this website, it is our responsibility to guide those who are still learning the basics of Steemit. One of the biggest challenges in using Steemit is gaining "up votes" and the verification posts. Getting even one upvote as a newcomer would be like finding an oasis in the middle of the driest of desserts. Though shall not worry, When they get no upvotes, I tell them to "Don't Give Up!" and to go on and continue in improving the quality of their posts, and hopefully the curators notice their never-ending handwork. We should not waste our invites! Give time to nurture their work, especially for those newcomers who have a genuine interest in blogging. I am forever hopeful for their growth on this great platform .

As an old-timer, all I can do is guide and motivate them. Even though, by definition, steemit means social media that pays the author or, as we call it, "blog and earn." Patience is still essential, especially for the new bloggers. I tell them to enjoy the ride and participate in contests, interact and comment on posts, and most of all gain the trust of the curators and never sell them their steem power, instead power-up. Remind them always, that being a Steemian should be considered an honor because it is a different social media experience than what the others offer. The others don't pay you, do they? Exactly. Just have the motivation and develop the quality of your posts, and you're good to go. You should always have an open and creative mind, and in the long run, success will be in your grasp.

To all steemians but most importantly to the new ones, never give up. Just trust the process. And when you see a successful steemian, just remember that they were once in your shoes. Give it your all and build a strong foundation to conquer in the future.

“ Don't Give Up on Steemit” Laban lang gyud! Aja!
