Stress is often identified with negative emotions that are bad for health. There is also stress that has good benefits.

The following are some types of stress that you need to be aware of:

  • 1). Good Stress

Stress is not only triggered entirely by negative experiences. In fact, positive experiences can also bring stress, such as a graduation ceremony or wedding. However, this type of stress in small doses is actually good for our immune system. In addition, this type of stress can also make it easier for many people to create goals and enjoy the process of achieving them with full energy.

  • 2). Internal distress

This is a bad type of stress. Distress is a type of negative stress that results from a bad experience, threat, or change in an unexpected and uncomfortable situation. Basically, our bodies want a sense of security so that when that feeling is disturbed, the body experiences distress.

  • 3). Acute distress

Acute distress occurs when a person experiences distress that is triggered by a bad event that passes quickly. While chronic stress occurs when a person has to endure stress for a long time. Both types of stress will trigger the onset of hyperstress.

  • 4). Hypostress

It turns out that days without worries and challenges can also trigger another type of stress, namely hypostress. Hypostress is "absence" of stress, but it can also mean extreme boredom. A person experiencing hypostress may feel unchallenged, lacking the motivation to do anything. Hypostress can trigger feelings of depression and futility.

  • 5). Eustres

Eustress is a very useful stress because it can make the body more alert. Eustress makes the body and mind ready to face many challenges, even without realizing it. This type of stress can help empower and determine decisions, for example finding solutions to problems.
