My experience at my strongest moment

golden line.png

It all happened in October, 2018 (3 years ago). It was a sunny afternoon, after I was done with lectures for the day. I went home, changed my uniform wears and took my bath. I reared for a few hours before finally being recharged energetically and I decided I was going to play football that afternoon. After making thos decision, I stood up changed into my sport wears and took my football boots along with me.

I headed straight for the football stadium which is located in my school. The stadium's name is Franco Pitch and it is located in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). That fateful afternoon, my department actually had a match and I was part of the departmental footballers too. So, I needn't miss the match because my presence and efforts will be needed too.
Happily, I was one of the starters for the match back then.
Finally, the match started and everything was going fine until I was brought down in a very reckless way. Within seconds I
started bleeding excessively at my wrist joint.
First, I was very wowed because I wasn't meant to bleed that much but then I had to think what if it was a very deep cut at my wrists joint with that knowing fully well that my nerves or arteries are at risks of getting injured too. Must that have been the need for the excessive bleeding? We'll find out as we go on in this personal experience of mine.

To make matters worse I felt a sharp pain at my knee joint while trying to move my body position and aim towards standing up. Lo and behold, I saw my my knee joint in another form (as if it was dislocated). I was in severe pains and couldn't move that actual leg (my right leg). When I finally confirmed it was a dislocation I shouted "it is finished". Exams are around the corner and there was no way that leg would be at ease for me for movement not to talk of rushing to exam centers to sit for my exams. I didn't know what to do I felt it was all over for me coupled with the fact that I don't know the intensity of bleeding of my wrist joint.

I was taken to the medical center right away for immediate treatment. Then I had to be transferred from the medical center to The University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH). It was there I finally had my treatment, I was so lucky because the bone dislocation I had wouldn't require a surgery even though I was almost at the risk of undergoing a surgery.

Also, the doctor further told me that I was very lucky because the injury at might wrist was so close to affecting the nerve at that region where the cut occurred. Seems like grace to me because at the time where I thought I had no hope I got so strong and I held on. It took weeks for me to recover, I thought with this pain in my leg I wouldn't be able to cope with my exam preparations. But exams came and went, I did very well and I'm super grateful to God who made it possible for me to recover and also pass my exams very well.
