Steeming Community Contest | "Your Story 2" | The first adventure of ABCDE

This is the first adventure of ABCDE. Yes, I know you haven't heard about ABCDE, but I'm sure you will hear about us very soon.

ABCDE is Antu-Banku-Chottu Detective Enterprise. Well, we still not started ABCDE, but we will start as soon as we complete our school.

We are four friends - Arnab (Antu), Buddha (Banku) and Me Chinmoy (Chottu). We are big fan of detective stories and we have studied all the detective novels in school library. We practice our skill daily by a game called "Find it". In this game, someone from us say something written nearby - may be from hoarding, poster, name written in car window, wall graffiti - and rest of us have to find it out. The one find it first is the winner. We like to play cricket, soccer, badminton, but, "Find it" is our favorite game.

The incident happened during our summer vacation. We finished our lunch and was playing cricket. There is a branch of State Bank of India beside the field. 3 motorbikes came and six people entered the bank. Usually, people get down from bike and open their helmet, but none of these six opened their helmet. They had collision with each other while climbing the stairs, still they haven't taken off their helmet.

Once they are inside, someone lowered the shutter in bank's gate from inside. We get suspicious. The bank close at 4pm. Everyday after the bell in the clock tower rings, the bank workers comes out and close the shutter from outside. Today the 4pm bell still not ring, then why they are closing the bank? That too from inside, while 6 persons are still inside.

To check, Antu thrown the cricket ball through the glass window of bank. The window glass broken. One face, still with the helmet on, came at window, looked outside and dropped the curtains. We are now sure that a bank robbery is happening now.

Antu and Banku ran towards the police outpost at the road crossing.

I released the air from bike tyres and started shouting "thief thief". The people passing by stopped and they started gathering outside the bank gate. Police came within few minutes and taken their position with their guns on.

After sometime, when the six helmet men comes out from the bank with big bags in their hand, police team is already waiting for them. They all caught red-handed and arrested.

The next day, Police Commissioner visited our house. He appreciated our observation and thanked us. The police were trying to arrest the gang since long. Commissioner said they will recommend our name for Chief Minister medal for bravery in next Republic Day ceremony.

Mom is so proud of me. Dad is also proud, but still telling me to concentrate on studies. Dads are always like that. Isn't it?
