At present we have been hearing very frequently the word 'Procrastination' and, this is nothing more than the bad habit that we exercise when constantly postponing the obligations or duties that we must perform daily. In these cases, the famous phrase that we usually use is "I will do it later". However, when that later comes, we postpone it again and in the end, we don't do what we should.
Particularly, on several occasions I have fallen into this evil however, after meditating on it I have concluded that the best time we can have to carry out our activities is right now because, afterwards, many things can happen that prevent us from fulfilling our responsibility. Keep in mind that, after being immersed in the action, everything will begin to occur progressively.
Human beings are people who mobilize according to our emotional state therefore, if we are going to do something, the action is now and not later since, the only sure thing we have in that process is that, as time progresses, our desire will decrease and if our day to day is very hectic, At the end of the afternoon and we embrace the night, we will not have the energy required for this reason, this will end in that procrastination won the battle and by postponing activities, we are left doing nothing. Because of this, we only have two alternatives, to do or not to do anything and, the second option is not the most indicated.
Action is an element that makes us proactive and very useful people therefore, the invitation is that we make part of ourselves to this habit since, in life we can move forward if we stop postponing so many things and work for everything we want. In view of this, I share some tips that we can use when overcoming the bad habit of postponing our daily activities.
Every time we are going to start a project or take a transcendental step in our life, we feel that uncomfortable feeling that generates fear since we will be taking steps in environments possibly unknown to us. However, if to avoid having that fear we stop doing something new, we are making a terrible mistake because, the mere fact of not doing what we wanted deep down, in the end leads us to the feeling of frustration and, it will always be preferable to try it to stay with the question of what would have happened.
In view of this, although fear is inevitable, we have the task of preventing it from preventing us from advancing because, although something goes well or wrong, the experience generates learning and, that is gain for that reason, we will do what we long for without fear because life is an adventure and without evolution, We stop living the good things that are for us.
In some cases we make the decision to postpone something not out of fear but because laziness took over us and when this happens, we lose willpower. One aspect that we must keep in mind is that, time can not stop it, it advances and whether or not we do something, it is on our part, not of him for it, to say that we do not have time is a serious mistake since, time is the same and, we are the ones who must manage it correctly to be able to do various daily activities. When I was at the university, a professor said the following phrase "The absence of time in our activities is the absence of organization" and, with this forceful expression, he quoted a journalist named Javier Darío Restrepo.
It should be noted that the misuse of time is the product of laziness and, only we have the power to prevent us from advancing in what we are planning since, success is only achieved if we stop adapting to laziness and begin to be more productive.
In addition to this, we must also change our inner vocabulary since, consciously or unconsciously we tend to victimize ourselves at times because, we say that we will do something when the circumstances improve, however, we do nothing to make this happen. Keep in mind that, the word "I have" is determining that it will be done later, however, if we say "I will", we are automatically denoting that it is decided what we will do and, although it seems absurd, when referring to ourselves as "I will", we exercise our willpower and action which drives us to do what we want to do without having to postpone.
life is full of distractions and, all these activities will always be latent stalking us to see when it is time to attack us and, take us to the immediate action of postponing our activities for that reason, we have the task of reversing this situation and, let's stop being people who postpone their life because, the mission is to evolve and every day we are the best version of ourselves.
