Good morning my fellow steemian, today I will be sharing a beautiful story with you guys.
Thanks to @moyeon for organizing this wonderful contest.

In a lush and vibrant forest, there lived a peacock named Percival. Percival had the most beautiful feathers, glittering with all the colors of the rainbow.
All the animals admired him for his beauty, and he knew it.

One day, Percival decided that his beauty entitled him to be the ruler of the forest. After all, he thought, "should not the most splendid among us lead?" So, he called a meeting of all the animals and declared himself their king.

At first, the animals were taken by his radiant plumage and agreed to his rule. But as time passed, they realized that Percival knew little about leadership.
He would strut around the forest, showing off his feathers, while the needs of the forest went unattended.

The beavers' dam was in disrepair, the squirrels' nut supply was dwindling, and the birds' nests were threatened by a prowling cat. Yet, Percival did nothing but preen and pose.

A wise old owl, who had watched from the shadows, saw the trouble brewing. She called another meeting, this time under the cover of night. "Beauty may inspire," she hooted, "but it does not feed the hungry, nor does it protect the weak. We need a leader who serves, not one who merely shines."

The animals nodded in agreement, and together they devised a plan. The next day, they approached Percival and asked him to complete three tasks: to repair the dam, to gather nuts for winter, and to outwit the prowling cat.

Percival, who had never lifted a feather for anyone else, found himself at a loss. He could not repair the dam, for his feathers got in the way. He could not gather nuts, for he did not know where they were stored. And as for the cat, he was too afraid to even approach it.

Ashamed and humbled, Percival stepped down from his self-appointed throne. The animals then chose a new leader, a deer named Dara, who was known for her wisdom and kindness.

Under Dara's leadership, the forest thrived, and all the animals worked together for the good of their home.

greetings friend,
Peacocks grab anyone's attention. The color scheme, beauty and elegance of movement set it apart from everyone else.

So the peacock on my canvas becomes very aesthetic. You have written very well about the peacock.

All the best for the competition.

Thanks for your wonderful comment on my post 🥰

Beautiful story. Percival was indeed a beautiful peacock but he failed to understand that aside from beauty self development was also important. It is true he started off without understanding leadership but if he had humbled himself to learn he would have done marvellously well. All the best dear.
