Greetings , fellow steemian, how are you guys doing today?, I hope you guys are doing great, I'm really excited to be part of this amazing contest, I will like to share my story with you guys (tears of Esther). Read and enjoy the story.

TEARS OF ESTHER

Esther was a young lady who had a happy life with her parents in Yelwa, a small town in Kaduna State, Nigeria.

Her parent were not so rich but they lived a happy and comfortable life together as a family.

Esther grew up to see both of her parents deeply in love and living in understanding.

The young hard working couple were the best model to their daughter. From day one, they thought her the basics of family values.

They held on to the adage 'Charity begins at home' so they did their best to make their home a comfortable place of learning and growing for Esther their daughter.

Esther gradually grew into a smart, humble and an obedient child.

It was usual for quite a number of children, while growing up to cultivate the habit of stealing meat from the pot and telling lies. But Esther, it was a different ball game. Her parent did justice in training her right.

Esther's parents Sam and Jenelle did not only live a happy and caring lives, they were also well disciplined in their work.

Esther grew to love her mother, who taught her how to sew beautiful dresses.

Esther was only 11 years of age but she was already becoming a professional seamstress supporting her mother to create beautiful designs every time she was back from school, on weekends and also during holidays.

Esther had a dream of owning her own fashion academy some day. And her parent were all out to support her. But they encouraged her to first be focused on her schooling.

Esther's creative spirit was inherent. As she tries to be exceptionally good in all she does.

Sam always comes home with beautiful toys he made for his daughter. But Esther wished she could follow her Dad who was a Carpenter to his work place so she could learn how to make beautiful wooden toys for herself and by herself. It was obvious she can't use a stone to hit two birds at that stage of her life. So she had to narrow down... She had chosen her mother's path of becoming a fashion designer. So going to learn carpentry would be nothing but a beautiful distraction that could affect her future.

.....Her parents made her to understand that although all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. But still, a Jack of all trades can become a master of none. They told her that the world would not celebrate her for doing everything, but for being good at something.
So she must learn to narrow her focus in everything she does to be able to get everything she want.

Sam will always tell Esther " You must not do everything with your life time, you only need to find one thing to do and that one thing can change your everything" whenever he said that to Esther he would smile and tell her "that's the building block to success" and they would both laugh.

Esther's parents made her to understand that her greatness will only come as a product of her determination to use her skills and wisdom to put herself on the world's map. And this she believed her, happily growing and learning from her parents.

Everything changed one faithful day when her mother fell very ill with a mysterious illness that lingered for over five years torturing her health.

Esther and her father tried everything they could to save her; from taking her to hospital for medical attention, to taking her to Church for spiritual attention and taking her to traditional doctors for natural herbal treatment. Esther and her father did all they could to help restore her health but nothing seamed to work out.

Often time, Esther would cry over night to God for her mother's health. but it was like heaven was shut against her.

Sam became very confused and frustrated, he couldn't go to work to make more money because he had to take care of his wife. He had spent more than enough but all to no avail.

After spending his resources in the hospital, the doctors said there was no cure to her Îllnèss, but Sam never gave up.

Early hours of one faithful morning, Esther was at the hospital, attending to her mother's needs. She was feeding her breakfast as she couldn't eat nor speak. Suddenly, she noticed her mother wasn't moving. She shook her severally, but she was all dormant.

As young as Esther was, she could sensed what had happened.

"Mummy noooo.
Please don't leave me alone, please don't dîe. Nooooo..."
In bitter tears she cried and shook her mother over and over to see if she could revive her, but her mum did not even give a wink of response.

She almost cried her life out, she couldn't imaging a life without her model.

Esther's mother died in her arms, leaving her heartbroken and devastated.

Sam was also grief-stricken, but he tried to be strong for the sake of Esther.
They both mourned for her but Sam told Esther that they had to move on and live for her mother's sake.
Killingthemselves obviously wouldn't bring her mother back. So they had to be strong.

He promised to always love Esther and protect her, no matter what. Esther believed him and clung to him for comfort.

They gradually adapted to the absence of her mother and everything went well until his father decided to marry another wife, but he couldn't handle everything his self.

Esther plead with his dad not to wife another wife, she told his father that she can do anything, even that she can handle her mother shop, but his couldn't listen to her,he said to Esther, my child we need somebody that will support us and also give you siblings that you can stay with.
Esther don't know what to do to stop his father, her father went ahead and got married to a woman called Sofia .

They start living happy, Esther also take her father wife as her own mother, his father was happy on how Esther was Co operating with her stepmother.

Few years later , Sofia could not give birth to a child ,this made her feel sad ,she went anywhere she could to seek for help but she couldn't get any solution, so she decided to visit a native doctor in her village.
when she visit the native doctor, the native doctor told her that it was her husband that made her to be Barred , that he don't want her to bear another child for him, because he love Esther so much and want her to be his only child.

Sofia was so angry and sad that made her think on how to kill her husband,and deal with Esther mercilessly.
Sofia poisoned Mr Sam, this is how the innocent man died .
Esther could not control her tear, when she heard that her dad was dead, at this time no one to console her. the innocent girl cried soberly .
After the burial of her father, her stepmother Anuty Sofia start maltreating her.

This is how Esther ending up living in the street because she can bear the situation.
