Cassava process to garri.

Hello friends from home and abroad, warm regards to everyone, thank God it's Thursday (TGIT) and it's a pleasure to welcome to you all to my post. Today I'll be writing on how to process cassava to garri we all know cassava is very important to the society, below is the cassava farm where I harvested cassavas from. We used two days to finish everything the cassava work, below are the steps and pictures of the process.

DAY ONE-Step 1: harvesting of the cassava from the soil, we harvested the amount of quantity of cassava that will be process into garri, We harvested the cassava and gather it all together. We're done with the harvest, we move forward to the next step, which is.

Step 2: peeling off the cassavas peels, in this step sharp knife is needed and more people who can peel fast are also needed so that we don't waste much time. After we finish peeling off the cassava peels, we pour water into a big clean basin bowl and wash the cassavas in batches. It is now time to load the cassavas inside a 100 kg bag, which is popularly used in Nigeria when it comes to garri aspects.

Due to the arrangement of the cassavas inside the 100 kg, it seems like we have only 1 bag of cassava.
Still on step 2, this is the grounding engine use to grind cassava to make it smooth in the process of grounding the cassava we add a little palm oil to the cassava am very sure Nigerians will know why oil was added, that aside we're done grounding the cassava and load it inside a bag tie-up the bag and put in a garri presser that would enable the cassava starch to come out totally, finally we are done with day 1.

DAY ONE-Step 3: filtration process, this is when we filter the cassava flour separately from the chaff into a clean basin bowl. After we had finish filtered the cassava flour and is time we set up the fire by loading the woods under the pot pour some petrol into the woods and light it up.
