Harmattan
The Harmattan is a season in West Africa that occurs between the end of November and the middle of March. It is characterized by the dry and dusty northeasterly trade wind, of the same name, which blows from the Sahara over West Africa into the Gulf of Guinea.

To start with, during this period, there is an eruption of nose bleeding, caused by low humidity. The harmattan breeze can be assaulting to the nostril and it enhances irritation of asthma.

The Harmattan season occurs in Nigeria between the months of November and Early January.

It is normally dry and dusty and misty early in the morning with very cool breeze at the same time.

It is a season that many people look forward to in my locality because it comes with several vibes.

Right from when I was a child, there are fond memories of the Harmattan Season.

The eyes can easily be infected by foreign objects if exposed to dust particles, thus the eyes are always protected.

It causes accidents on roads because people hardly see where they are going and most times tyres don't get a grip on the road. It also spoils roofs. Its few advantage is that it waters crops for farmers and the weather is always cold ,yet it causes illness.

Dry Season

This is a hot season that has little or no rainfall. It occurs between November to March. It is generally appreciated because it has its advantages and few disadvantage. For advantages, this season is when families usually go on trips and vacation. Occasions are fixed for this season, like weddings, convocation, matriculation, etc.

It's disadvantage is that the weather affects health and can make one sweat. It causes rashes, dried throat and cough.
