Termite

A minute, destructive and powerful Insecta whose nature and life is wholly designed by nature. This insect looks beautiful but it's quite it is left with no other option than the opposite of build.

This insect is tiny and can be found on the soil and even in homes beside everything containing wood if it has its way. This insect can bite the hell out of you leaving you limping if you're not strong. Its mandibles are foreign I must say.

What name does it bear as an Insecta or arthropod? Termite. Personally, my appreciation for the complexity in structure, function and bodily performance is very much alarming and worth studying. I appreciate termite so much although it has side effects.

Features:
Termite being an arthropod which is a group of all kinds of insects has a large head made of cuticle, 6 legs to be precise or more and sharp mandibles.

Benefits: Termite has lot of essential benefit to its environment and humans too. These are;

• Used in treatment of Ulcer
• It aids aeration and improve soil quality
• Their mounds are used for medicinal purposes especially for pregnant women.
• it also help decompose trees though.

Types:

• Flying Termite
• Subterranean termite
• Dampwood
• Drywood and many others.

Disadvantages:

• It's wood destructive
• It attack crops and plants, etc.

These are the major and visible disadvantages of this insect.

Uses:_

• Used as food and other medicinal purposes

Interesting facts:

• They feed on each other faeces
• Termite workers and soldier are almost blind.
• They are well groomed

Tailor ant

Description: A minute insect with a large abdomen and small head with strong legs. I sometimes wonder how they are firm when climbing walls and plastics. They are brown In color and very destructive and constructive as well.

They are widely known as tailor ants because of their opened creativity in sewing leaves to contain their species. They are not skin friendly at all especially if a considerable number climbs your skin.

They are mostly found on trees, pear tree and 🥭 mango sometimes. They belong to the group arthropoda and the class Insecta. It is officially called Weaver ant....They are social insects

Features:

• They have large abdomen
• They have large and sharp mandibles
• They are covered with chitin and have a small head.
• They have 6 walking legs.

Benefits:

• It helps in pest suppression.
• They are rich source of protein for those who eats it and it's also used for local medicine.

Disadvantage:

• They reduce the numbers of pollinators

Spined Assassin bug

As the name implies, it should be feared. It's not a social insect. It has a formidable appearance and it comes in varying colors......

Features:

• It belongs to the group arthropoda......
• It has Sharp spines used for predation.
• It has lots of legs.
• It lacks chitin

Disadvantages:

• It is impeding to plants and animals growth.

• It is harmful to humans
