in hive-139765 •  2 months ago  (edited)
Hello friends this is your friend @caringmanasseh from Nigeria. How are you today? I hope you are all fine as I am. For this week's craft, I have chosen to construct a Lorry using a waste Carton/Cardboard. I have explained in steps how I constructed the lorry. I believe a kid or a parent in the community may pick an interest and replicate it. I wish you all a happy viewing

Steps For Construction.
Step 1:
I drew the side view of the head of the lorry and duplicated it. I also measured my cardboard 5 inches wide and gummed it around the side views to form the head of the lorry

Step 2:
I form the tyres of the lorry by cutting my cardboard 1.5 inches wide and peel one side of the it. I also drew a small circle, cut it and duplicated it into eight pieces. I then used the 1.5-inch wide cardboard and gummed it around the small circles to form the tyres. After that, I coloured the tyre black. I also folded a piece of paper measuring 3.5 inches and then gummed the tyres.

Step 3:
I constructed the half back of the lorry. Here I cut two pieces of cardboard measuring 1 inch wide and 30 inches long. I also cut two cardboard measuring 5 inches long which is the breadth of the lorry. I then gummed the 5-inch cardboard with the 30-inches cardboard. At this stage, I also fixed the back tyres of the lorry and finally the mud flap

Step 5:
I constructed the container. I cut two pieces of cardboard measuring 30 inches long and 7.5 inches which is the sides of the container, 2 pieces of cardboard measuring 5 inches wide and 30 inches long which is the top and bottom of the container, 2 cardboard measuring 5 inches wide and 7.5 inches high to serve as the front and back of the container. After all the measurements, I used my super glue to gum the container.

Step 8:
I started colouring my lorry. I used a red acrylic colour to colour the head of the lorry and a black permanent marker to colour the windscreen and the window of the lorry. I also designed the door on both sides using a black permanent marker. I designed the grilles in front of the lorry using a black marker. I also designed the front of the lorry and tyres with white poster colour. Finally, I coloured the mud flap with red Acrylic colour and the frame of the half-back with black acrylic colour.
