What need did you notice that the kids around you have?

A child in need may be frustrated, scared or powerless to ask. This sometimes makes them isolate themself from their friends or peer. These needs somethings could be caused as a result of poverty or neglect, and these needs sometimes could be financial, material, emotional or safety. We have to pay attention to them to know their kind of needs and give them the necessary support in any way we can.

Kids are beautiful beings their needs could be so little but so important to them. I visited my sister with my kids, so they met with their cousins It was a wonderful time of bonding among them as usual; they planned and had fun. But there was this pressing need my niece and nephew had. They wanted to show my kids a game on their desktop, and the game was played online, but there was no internet connection.

How did you provide that need? It could be service or financial help

My nephew came to me and asked me if I could please put on my hotspot and connect it to their desktop. He told me he wanted his cousins to see a game and play with them. I understood his feelings, knowing he wanted to create a memory with his cousin, and I agreed to put on my hotspot, and their desktop was connected.

How does the child feel about that need?

I saw the feeling of excitement and fulfilment in my nephew as he showed, taught and played the game with his cousin. I was also happy that I helped him with his needs because it gave him the confidence that he could ask for help or his needs from people around him, rather than remaining silent, or keep to himself.

Just gift a child of something he or her really needs and tell us how the child feels about it.

My kid has been asking me for popcorn for a while now because it's been a while since they have eaten it, but I have been interested in getting it for them. So over the weekend, I went to the market and bought the corn for it so I could make the popcorn myself at home.

When I got home, I could not find the corn in my bag, I must have left it the next place I bought other things. When I told my kids about it, they felt disappointed, and I promised to make it up to them. So today I went to the market where I think I must have dropped it. Fortunate for me I found it there.

I made the popcorn for them today. On their return from school, they saw it and were so happy. I was also happy to fulfil my promise to them because it rebuilds trust in kids when you keep your promise to them.
