On Friday 11th of February, my English teacher gave us an essay to write onto the topic; “Importance of Education on national development.” A beautiful topic. But Why does Education really matters to kids, and not leaving the adults behind? Let's become aware.

What is education?

Education is a process a child derives knowledge, ability to read and write, skills, ideas, information, moral values and so on from the teachers or parents either in a school or college. Since education is a process meaning that it's not just a days work, both adults and children are also included in this process of acquiring knowledge.

Why is it important to a child?

Education is considered as the basic necessities of life along with other basic needs such as; food, clothing, shelter, etc. Some of the importance of education includes:

• Better economy: There will be a better economy if a country is filled with people who are litterates. The planning and budgets also depends on intellectuals.

• Better lifestyle: We live well when we r educated because we have opportunity to finance ourselves and achieve good health and wellbeing.

• Decrease in violence: When I practice the morals I derive from education, I will know that certain deviant behaviour like stealing, robbery, fighting, etc are not acceptable in the society we live in.

• Decision making: Education offers us the skills, the morals and the mindset of adults to deal with problems, challenges and trials.

We can't be easily bullied if we are learned. Though the world of nowadays is filled with currupt practices, we can shun what is bad if we are knowledgeable. How will you express yourself when you don't even know what to say?

At what age should a child start learning?

At the age of two, a child has start perceiving his or her surroundings and also, the child starts to mimic every word of an adult or an elder child says on his/her own. Therefore, the best age for a child to start learning is from the womb so as to achieve maximum benefits.

What is done in your locality to embrace modern education?

In my locality, the government in charge have put in place distances apart in which schools can be sited and how they should be cited. Schools here now have equiped computer labs, Chemistry labs, Physics labs and others for practicals which makes the theory make more sense. This, facilitating the embracement of learning.

The study of computer and other technologies will improve digital skills and pave diamond for easier crypto Education.

I'm so happy to share in this age of technologies. Study is easier, learning is faster and we get to know more people including online classes. A child is ever so happy to receive knowledge from teacher who are kind.
