Here are some materials I used in drawing a tortoise.
• A pencil.
• A Carbon Paper.
• Board Maker.
• Eraser.

Drawing Steps:

I took few steps to drawing a tortoise which doesn't seem to hard to draw.

• I started by making some designs with my maker on the carbon paper then moved on with drawing the shell of the tortoise.

• I proceeded with adding the front side legs and head. Started completing the four legs followed by adding eyes to my drawing.

• I made some crack design on the shell of the tortoise and shaded it with my pencil.

• And then boom! Am done with my drawing.

Describe A Tortoise

A Tortoise can be described as reptiles that possesses large shell on their back for protection. Unlike it's counterpart turtle, tortoise live almost abundantly on land whilst most turtle are aquatic, which means they primarily live in water.

Tortoise varies in size depending on the particular species. Some tortoise are very small with shell that are smaller than ten centimetre long. Most tortoise species have a lifespan of thereabout 80-150 years while some can live up to 200 years. Tortoise are known to be generally active in daytimes and therefore are known as being Diural. Most species of tortoise are usually active in the twilight period but sleep throughout the night.

When it come to long-term living, tortoise are actually the longest living land animal in the world. Tortoise can be a very slow-moving animal due to its metabolic rate. Their average walking speed rates 0.2-0.5 kilometres per hour, and they can be found in many places across the world depending on their species, like some live in forest, rainforest or even desert.

During feeding, some herbivores tortoise feed on grasses, leaves flowers and fruits while the omivores feed on insects and worms.

WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THE LIFESTYLE OF A TORTOISE?

There are a couple of things to learn from the lifestyle of a tortoise and here they are below;
¶ Brilliance: Tortoise can be so intelligent, they acquire this certain quality that makes them resilent, sturdy and likely to outlive mudt humans.

¶ Determination: Once a tortoise sets a goal to achieve, he will not give up rather he keeps pushing forward. If likely it's a brick wall he's trying to penetrate, he will try and keep trying til he succeeds.

¶ Being Defendant: Tortoise have limited offense therefore they can hide in their shell and perform defense for likely a long time. There inside their shell, they have patience which is valuable and can sometimes preserve our lives.

¶ Slowing Down: You can't just tend to rush some certain things in life. I have gotten to learn that I had to better manage my time and plan things accordingly. You don't have to always rush things for slowing down does have its advantage. Slow and steady wins the race.

¶ Don't Compare: Despite others have passed tortoise in a race, he doesn't give up but keep moving slow and steady to achieve his goal not minding who and who have passed him.

HAVE YOU SEEN ONE BEFORE? IF YES, WHERE?

No!.. I haven't seen a tortoise although I wish to see one so I could study some characteristics of tortoise and it's lifestyle in order to learn more but I can attest that my junior sister has seen one before when her school went for an excursion.

ARE THEY IMPORTANT TO MAN, WHAT SIGNIFICANT ROLE DO THEY PLAY IN HUMANS LIFE?

Yes!.. Tortoise play Avery important role in the life of humans by helping to maintain clean aquatic ecosystem. They are important to human also through the calcium cycle of an ecosystem, they get to accumulate a high amount of mineral in life and slowly releases it at death. As tortoise never grow old, we could see to learn their secret inorder to live longer.

IF THEY ARE DANGEROUS TO MAN TELL US THEIR BAD EFFECT?

Scientists have proven that tortoise are not harmful to man aside from the fact that it bites probably when you hand feed them or when they are hungry. They are not aggressive animals that harm anyhow. Tortoise therefore, always show signs of affections and appreciation towards their owners.

CONCLUSION

Tortoise is a one kind of animal to learn a lot of lessons from their lifestyle and behavior. They possess incredibly good qualities which makes them unique and special.
