Writing contest: Over-populated Or Underpopulated, Which One Is Better?

Greetings!.. how are you all doing today? This is actually my second time of engaging in this particular contest series and am excited to take part. See below my entry and review what I have got as my own suggestion and opinion.

Population is described as a group of individuals or persons that are of the same species which interbreeds and live within in a given area. The living among this population often hope on the same resources, which are subjected to be similar. You could also term population to be the number of people living in a single area.

🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥What are the basic units of population?🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥

In population there are different things that contribute to the basic unit of population and these include;

• Density.
• Age Structure.
• Population Size.
• Fecundity (birth rates) and Mortality (death rates).
• Sex Ratio.

🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥State five factors you think affect population growth in your country🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥

Here are some factors that affect population growth in my country;

• When there's lack of Knowledge about Family Planning: Illiteracy, no knowledge about traditions, customs, and use of contraceptives has badly affected the population growth of my country Nigeria.

• Social: The social factor has a big influences in my country, causing the desire to bear children generally, which adds to the early marriages, which is equally happening round African.

• Immigration/Emigration: People have learnt to migrate from their home (main residence) to some other places all because of going for the high paid jobs, education, security, social etc.

• Culture: In my country Nigeria, the westerners and the northerners are encouraged to marry many wives, and equally have as many children as they wish.

• Health: Nigeria is among the countries that have been badly affected by health issues like Malaria, HIV/AIDS, cholera etc. And this only can lead to high rates of death which can affect the population negatively/ badly.

🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥What are the possible problems of over-population?🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥

Over-population can lead to more demand for limited resources in the country, such as increased demand for water, housing, healthcare, food, transportation, etc. And all this demands leads to increase in conflicts, high rates exposure to disasters like pandemics, increase in warfare etc.

🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥Explain at least three ways in which population can be controlled🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥

Below has three ways in which population can be controlled, they include;

✨ Stopping the barrier to the use of contraception: The government should ensure that every citizen has access to the contraception tools by providing the cheap and effective ones which can help in avoiding cases of unwanted pregnancies and several pregnancies.

✨ Ensuring education for all: Education still tend to be the key,as educated men and women get to acknowledge that hardships is real and avoid the risk of having too many kids. They also understand what consequences faces the growing population.

✨ Family planning should be promoted: Couple are allowed to plan well and determine the desired number of children they wish to have and also the timing and space of their births.

🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥Do you know the population of the steemit users? Can you estimate?🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥

If am asked to guess the total number of steemians, i will estimate that the active users are 5million people and the inactive ones are thereabout 500 thousand people. That's what I think the Steemit Platform could be accumulating.

I prefer the underpopulation, this is because, it helps the government become conscious on how to go about the growth of the people in his territory (country).

When overpopulation is involved, the needs of the people then seem very difficult to attend to. This underpopulation helps to reduce the cost of things generally.
