Diary Game|| 03-10-2024|| A Hangout to Drainage Construction Site

Dear diary,

The significance of construction of drainages wether in agriculture or in road constructions among others can not be overemphasize. Drainages in agriculture can help to control soil erosion which can gradually wash away nutrients from the soil thereby reducing the quality of the soil which in returned do affect crop production. Drainages can also be used as a control to avoid or prevent flood, the disaster of flooding is very devastating. Some parts in country this year were affected by flood which affected so many crops, houses, businesses and so on. For example the impact of this flood can be seeing few weeks ago the far North here in my country in Maiduguri Borno state. So many people where displaced from their communities. The unfortunate flooding led to many damages and loss of properties.

Due to road construction in my state of residence particularly in the town where I am now living, a standard drainage system is also under construction to sustain the road and prevent it from premature damages such as potholes, cracking, gradual washout as well as erosion and also eventual flooding.

Today I went out on a hangout to the construction site after spending some time at home doing nothing serious since today I decided to take out time from office to be at home. From the time I woke up from the bed I was just doing nothing than studying and afterwards watch movies which later slept off, I later woke up help my wife making tattoo sticker which is her side hustle. I was tired at home and felt bored cause my wife son slept and left me alone by myself. I decided to go out on this very interesting hangout to while away some time at the construction site which I always love to whenever I am less busy.

Reaching the site the workers where already at work already, I walked round for sight seeing and I also snapped some pictures as you can see below.

After taking snapping pictures I boarded a tricycle as you can see in the picture below to return back home, I did not stayed long at the site as I initially planned.

Arriving home I took a shower and ate food and watch cartoon with my baby boy 😁😁😁, we watched his favorite cartoon very late at night because he did not sleep on time though I did not snapped with him on the picture below.
