Meaning of neglect of responsibilities in a family |
---|
Have you been neglected or seen anyone neglected? What are the effects on the kids |
---|
I have never been neglected before but for those who have experienced it, the effects of neglect are harmful because there is this emotional trauma that follows it and every child craves love, attention, and a sense of security and when these fundamental needs are not met,it can lead to feelings of abandonment, low self esteem, and difficulties forming healthy relationships later in life. The scars of emotional neglect often linger into adulthood, which will affect one's mental health and overall happiness.
Neglect can also manifest physically such as lack of proper nutrition, hygiene, and healthcare can result in developmental delays, chronic health issues, and stunted growth. These physical repercussions can extend far beyond childhood, influencing an individual's health and well being.
What's your advice to parents who neglect their responsibilities towards their kids? |
---|
My advice to parents who neglect their responsibilities is rooted in my understanding that parenting is a life commitment and as a good parent recognizing the impact of neglect on their children and understanding that their actions have a lasting consequence, reflect on the reasons behind the neglect by addressing any personal issues that might contribute to this behavior.
Communication is a major key because as a good parent talk to your children openly and honestly. Apologize for any neglect they may have experienced and assure them of your commitment to change. Establish a supportive and nurturing environment, demonstrating through actions that their well-being is a top priority. Seek professional help if needed, as therapy can provide valuable information for both parents and children to heal and rebuild their relationship.
Your advice to the kids who are neglected |
---|
My advice to the neglected children is for them to know that they are not alone and that the neglect they face is not a reflection of their worth but they should seek support from trusted adults, friends, or professionals who can guide them through the healing process. They should understand that their parent's neglect is about their shortcomings, not theirs. They should develop coping abilities and strength to navigate life's challenges, remembering that they have the power to break the cycle to create a positive future for themselves. @crowd1, You are right that as a parent it is very important to keep in touch with everyone. Be friends with them and go deep into their problems. If they have any problems, solve them. If necessary, consult a doctor to guide them in the right direction. In short, children should not be allowed to go astray. Your presentation is very beautiful. I wish you success.

Hola amigo
Saludos

MODs Comment/Recommendation: Child negligence is a punishable offense, parents have the sole responsibility of taking care of and providing for their children's need, as you clearly stated negligence linkers into adulthood. So parents should treat this topic as important. Success!
