PROTECTING THE THYROID GLAND


The thyroid gland produces hormones that play significant role in many different systems throughout the body. When your thyroid makes the most too much or little less of hormone production, it is known as a thyroid disease.

There are several types of thyroid diseases thus;

Hypothyroidism:
This is the reduced secretion of thyroid stimulating hormone.

  • Thyroiditis: This is a condition of inflammation or swelling of the thyroid gland. This condition causes Hypothyroidism.

  • Hashimoto Thyroiditis: An autoimmune dieases condition in which the body cells attack and damage the thyroid gland. It is basically a hereditary disease condition.

Hyperthyroidism:
This is the increased secretion of the thyroid stimulating hormone. Hyperthyroidism can be caused by some conditions such as the Graves Disease

  • Graves Disease : This is the condition in which the entire thyroid gland is too reactive to produce too much thyroid hormone, this causes the goiter

  • Iodine Deficiency: Iodine is used by the thyroid gland to produce hormones. An iodine Deficiency affects people around the world.

FRUITS AND FOOD THAT PROTECT THE THYROID GLAND


Strawberries and Cranberries are natural sources rich in iodine and cushion the iodine level of the thyroid gland

Pineapples and natural sources rich in iodine and cushion the iodine level of the thyroid gland.

Eggs especially egg yolk are good sources of iodine. They provide natural iodine to the body.

Fish, shellfish, oysters, shrimp and basically sea food are rich sources of iodine which helps the thyroid gland.


TREATMENT OF THYROID GLAND DISEASES


Blue Vervain : Boiling the leaves in water and drinking a glass cup of this during the day aids the thyroid.

Capers Juice: The juice from the ripe caper fruit and taking the juice 3-4 times a day helps the thyroid.

Kelp Powder: Use 1 teaspoon with a glass of warm water before going to bed for 15-30 days. It replenishes iodine in the body.

Hi @daprado1999 thank you for sharing this healthy tips, but I would advise going to hospital for diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disease, you need to see your doctor this information you are giving as treatment of thyroid disease have you carry out this things to know if they actually treat? . Well next time be careful when writing about health issues and treatment, you could say natural remedies that help reduce the symptoms not treatment because there are some thyroid disease that requires surgery so always be careful while writing health post.
