THE VIRTUE OF OBEDIENCE

Good evening friends. I feel very relaxed this evening to drop my participation on the above topic, special thanks to the user @simonnwigwe for organizing this contest with the topic, "the virtue of obedience" which I will be sharing my opinion too so keep reading down friends.

Obedience: Is simply an act of abiding by every order given by anyone, obedience is also a way of showing respect to an individual by accepting orders and commands. It can also be seen as accepting every command given by anyone especially people who are ahead. Biblically, obedience is an act that draws blessing to every child that obeys or key into the advice of the parents but on the contrary, sometimes our parents push us into doing what is wrong which might seem right in their eyes so in such situation what do we do?.

The Almighty remains the Almighty, he gives life and take the life out of human at any time, he has total control over man so, the truth remains that, we obey him and keep to his commands, keeping to his commands would simply show our divine obedience to him. When we don't obey the almighty, the consequences is to end in hell fire which I believe we will not like to end there but rather in heaven with the almighty, he also promises us blessings if we obey.

After obedience to God, obedience to our parents should be the next we must do to earn blessings as promised by God. The love of parents for children is natural and we have always known that our parents are always there to guide and take good care of us, it is good to obey our parents because they nurture us to become what we are today and aside from that, there are blessings attached to every act of obedience to parents.

We live under the authority of the government. The government supersedes our parents when it comes to power and therefore, we must see the need to be obedient to every rule and regulation of the government because stepping outside the rule of government always comes with a penalty that parents cannot bail such a child. Government securities are against robbery, drugging, raping, and so on, and living without most of these things will make an individual live for a long and for those who stubbornly continue, would see the result when they are been arrested.

Individuals around should have good to say about you as an individual. Being obedient attracts so many blessings and aside from the blessings, people tend to say good about you even in your absence because of how obedient you are to them. A lot of people watch our lives therefore, we should live a good life by obeying God, parents, authorities, and people around and by so doing, we will all be safe.

This is a very hard question to answer because sometimes what we are asked to do could be an evil act so in that instance, obedience should not be tolerated. But in instances where it is proper to be obedient is when such act is good and has no touch of evil practices. For example, if I am asked to go and fetch water I should obey because it is water I am asked to fetch but when I'm asked to poison someone then at that point it is not proper to be obedient.

An individual can disobey when the command, message, or order seems to be evil. Being commanded to murder is a very bad act so in that instance, disobedience can come to play. In summary, we can disobey when we are sent for an evil act.

Yes! I was stubborn while growing up with the mentality that, I have now grown, so no one talks to me anyhow but after some time I realize that there is no gain in being stubborn at all.

I will feel very bad because it hurts me so much when I sent my younger ones and they start misbehaving. It disturbs me so much. Imagining having a child and such a child disobeying the parent after much care from the parent, It would be annoying and disappointing to the parent of such a child.
