Greetings Steemians.

Without a doubt, every behavior a child exhibits was learned from an elder around them. This is why we must be careful and mindful of everything we do in front of kids. They might look like they are not watching, but the truth is they are watching. One day they will try to put it into practice.
I have been with kids in my uncle's place. All they do is mimic those older than them. The kids don't know what is wrong and what's right. Whatever they see you doing is what they will want to do. Always be mindful of your own actions when you are around kids.
Anyone who has been around kids would have a reason or two to believe that kids are always eager to mimic adults, whether their parents, uncles, brothers, sisters, or even strangers on the street. Sometimes they act like they are not seeing you, but the day they do that exact thing you always do will amaze you.
Last year, I was with my family for Christmas. We had a new family that just moved into the neighborhood, and they had a baby girl who is barely 3 years old. Nigerians were eager to watch this trending movie "Selina Tested". Last year, her siblings were one of those who did not miss any episodes. They use the slang from the movie and point at each other while doing so.
I was outside butchering my goat meat when the baby girl walked up to me. I played with her for a while, then got back to what I was doing. She then tried to play with my meat. I shouted at her and this little girl fearlessly used the slang for me "I go put am for your body wotowoto". I was shocked. All this time she acts like she is not seeing or hearing them say that.
There are lots of reasons why I think kids mimic adults. A few will be discussed in the paragraphs below:
Wanting to Learn: Kids are known to have that eagerness to want to learn new things. They show interest in everything, whether of their age or not. They still want to learn and know how to go about it.
A mechanic is fixing a generator, and you will see the kids in the neighborhood crowding around him until they are asked to leave.
They Feel It Is The Right Thing: For this particular reason, adults are asked to be mindful of what they do in front of the kids. They don't know what's wrong and what's right. Therefore, they believe whatever the adults are doing is the right thing and try to do so as well.
Pass Information: Most of the time, them mimicking the adults is a way they use to pass information to the adults. A kid giving you a plate can mean they are hungry and want to eat.
Adults can behave in a lot of ways to help put a kid on track.
Mindful Words: Many adults don't know how to make use of kind words; they must add insults to their every sentence. If there's a kid around, then be sure they will grow up to be very insultive as well. They are the adults doing it, so they are made to believe it is the right thing.
Mindful Actions: It is disappointing to find out that some parents ask their kids to keep watch while they steal from a neighbor. Adults should be mindful of their every action when there are kids around.
Doing Things At The Right Time: The way you raise a child determines how they will live for the rest of their lives; if you are the type of parent who never keeps time, your children will be the same.
We ought to be careful and mindful of our every action around kids, because whatever they see us doing is exactly what they are going to do, either when they are grown ups or when they start practicing it from a young age.
In conclusion, it is not new that kids try to mimic adults. Any adult who lives with kids should be mindful of everything: words, actions, and even walking steps.

Oh the girl really said those Selina tested slangs🤣🤣🤣
Little children now use those slangs almost everywhere in Nigeria and this is very bad, I feel pity for these kids because of the nonsense they have all learnt from different adults.
I pray God help those kids who are already influenced badly.

Most adults doesn't care about how they behave around the kids, they lack shame alot and this will cause a great harm to the kids in question.
