My 3 Favorite Hobbies | Contest#1 by @david-o.

I welcome you all to my blog today, and my appreciation goes to @yourloveguru for organizing such an amazing contest where we get to share our hobbies with fellow Steemians. We all have something we do, not because we were forced to do it but because we enjoy doing it.

I have lots of hobbies I really enjoy; no one picks a hobby for a person, and I don't pick a hobby because of friends. Hobbies are things we have passion for; sometimes they are things we did not even need to learn but we can do them almost perfectly. In subsequent paragraphs, I will be sharing with you my hobbies.

My favorite hobbies include;

• Football; I doubt if there's any guy out there who does not enjoy one sport or the other, but mostly football. I enjoy everything about football, ranging from playing to watching to even arguing about it, which is something that makes me happy. Sometimes you see my friends and I arguing like we are about to fight, everyone trying to prove their point.

• Chatting: For now that I am not yet in school, another thing I enjoy so much is chatting; I can spend all day on my phone if I am allowed. Living in my family's house, they can never allow you to stay on your phone for so long; they just have their way around.

• Writing: when I first joined the Steemit platform, I had difficulties writing an article of at least 300 words. As time went on, I began to enjoy writing, and I realized I could now write articles of more than 300 words without even knowing I had reached that number of words.

My Goals

I have certain goals I really aim for and pray to achieve.

• Be successful in life.
• Become a better writer so I can write my own books.
• Own a boutique of my own.

Sure, my hobbies can give me a career, and I would really love to be either a footballer or a writer. My country does not value sports, so I think becoming a writer is the only option that I have. I dedicated a lot of my time to the game of football but later realized it would be difficult to achieve that dream, so I had to let it slide.

There are so many things necessary to sustain my hobby lest I lose the vibe and just give up on everything, and these things are:

• Dedication.
• Consistency.
• Not giving up even when the days are not rosy.

In conclusion, hobbies should be something we really enjoy doing, something we long for, and not something we do because others are doing so as well.
