Obedience has become a subject of serious concern now as our very own lives depends on it. Consider the example of Adam and Eve. Because of their disobedience, they lost their lives and the opportunity of living forever. Can you see how virtuous and important it is to obey?

If they had obeyed, we won't be suffering today.. Many people say if I were Adam. We're also given instructions from above for us to prove if we were Adam. What is obedience?

What is your understanding of the term obedience?

Obedience refers to the act of complying with commands or instructions from an authority figure or rules and regulations. It is the willingness to follow the rules and do what one is told to do, without question. Obedience is often seen as a positive trait in individuals and is important for maintaining order and stability within a society or organization.

In the journey of life, who should you obey and why?

In the journey of life, obedience is an important aspect for individuals to follow certain rules and regulations set by society and authority figures, such as laws, cultural norms, and ethical codes. So obeying the society and authority and those above us are people we should obey. Why is because obedience is necessary for maintaining order and stability in society, and for ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals.

However, it is important to note that obedience should be balanced with critical thinking and personal morality.

Ultimately, obedience is an important aspect of life, but it should be balanced with personal morality, critical thinking, and a sense of personal responsibility.
Another important personnel we should obey is Jehovah and his son Jesus. Our very own lives depends on our obedience to them just like it was with Adam and Eve.

Do you think it is proper to be obedient at all times. Give reason why or why not?

No, I do not think it is proper to be obedient at all times. Obedience should be balanced with critical thinking and personal morality. Blind obedience, where one follows orders without question, can lead to negative consequences such as violating one's own moral code or participating in unethical or illegal actions.

Obedience should not be at the expense of personal values, beliefs, or the well-being of others.

Give a brief illustration where someone is expected to disobey.

An example would be a soldier being ordered to commit an act of war that violates the laws of war, such as targeting civilians or using banned weapons, in this case, the soldier is expected to disobey such orders as it goes against the laws of war and the principles of just war.

In this case, the individual is expected to disobey the orders given, as they go against the moral and ethical principles that guide their professions.

Have you ever disobeyed someone before? How will you feel if someone disobey you?

I've actually disobeyed someone before depending on different circumstances at different times. Although I've disobeyed someone before, I feel bad when others disobey me. It makes me feel they have no respect or regard for me as a person but what I've come to realize something great about being obedient.

Conclusively, obedience can be a virtue when it is guided by critical thinking, personal morality, and a sense of personal responsibility. It helps to maintain order and stability in society while still respecting individuals autonomy and personal values.
