my favorite childhood story.as told by @eddyvic.
*It was one evening after we have finished eating and we where ready going to our bedroom to relax and sleep .my call every one and tell us he has something to say ,that she won't to relate a story his father told her.so we where all happy to listen to the story.she began
This story is about a wealthy man and a poor beger.she said"there was a man highly respected wealthy man in their community, and there exit a poor man who used to go around village begging for money and food.the wealthy man has 4 childrean.each day the beger will be going to the rich man house and begged the rich man for food and sometimes money which the Rich man did not hold back from giving generously to him.everyday he kept disturbing the rich man going to the man house asking for food, once the food was given to him,he will thank the man and before living the man compound he added"if you do good, you do to your self and if you do bad you do to your self".he will be using this words every time he has finished eating in the man house and even composing a song and be singing while he walked home, everyone came to know the poor begged as Mr if you do good.based on his songs.
This word was was so painful to the rich man and he began to think what that words means.instead of being greatful, though he used to thank him but the usual added words if you do good, you do to your self and if you do bad you do to your self.is disturbing him so much.
So he detained in his heart to get rid of the poor man so that he may not disturb him again by comming to his compound to begged.he thinks at a possible means to killed the begger.so he resolved to poison him through bread,he claims he and the family won't to go out so there is no food at home and he has just bread for him,so that when he collected the bread he will return back home and ate it in his house and die.
He took out a loaf of bread poison it and keep it for the poor begger without the knowledge of the family.the beger return as usual collected the bread and went his way home, with his usual song if you do good you do to your self and if you do bad you do to your self.on his way back home he sow the man first son returning from school who was not equally happy with the beger for comming to beg in their house every day. Seeing the beger he stopped the beger and asked where he returns from,so the replied from your father house of course,he ask the beger what the father gave to him .the man showed him the bread he received from the father, the son with bitter anger snach the bread from the beger and began eating it right there, and worn the beger not to come to thier compound again.and never to tell his father what happened that he has collected the bread from him.getting close to the compound he began to feel stomach plains.the pains increase as he is approaching the house so can endure it anymore he began to screem one shout my stomach my stomach, the father rush out and hold him ask him what he ate at school he replied the beger!the father ask did eat the bread I gave to him he nodded his head and immediately die in the fathers arms.it was really shocking and sad.you need to see or feel a pin drop silence that filled the house.ww where shots of words just as you are right now.
Here is the woman that told me the story my mother and my elder brother.
she then asked use what is the lesson you learn from the story.
*Lesson 1:the beger words was right,if you do good you do to your self and if you do bad you do to your self.
The Bible book of Gal 6:7 do not be mislead God can not be mock for what a person sow he will reap.so that means whatever I do whether good or bad I will get it in return.
** Second lessons Gal 6:8 says for the one showing in view to the flesh will reap corruption.the man saw to the flesh and reap in full, there is this addict that says"the evil that men do live after them.hence they is a great lesson to learn if I wanted killing someone else I will end up killing myself or anyone that I love dearly,so wickedness of all sorts should be avoided.
***Lesson 3:Gal 6:9 let us not give up in doing what is going for in due time will reap good results if we do not tired out.the man give up in doing what was good remember his motive of giving was good at intimal time but he later give up and received the consequences of wickedness.so never should I give up in doing what is good.
****Lesson 4 Gal 6:10a so then as long as we have the opportunity let us work what is good toword all.the man did has the opportunity to do good work to the poor man and expect nothing in return, but he did not used his opportunity to be rich to do good work but turns into doing evil.my lessons if I am in position of authority or I am opportune to help someone either in steemit vote or delegate steem I should not expect reciprocal Wich of course is against the etiquettes of steemit.
*****Final lesson from the man son:greed is not good, jelousy envy and pride lead him to his early grave.if my parents give gift to someone instead of being angry I should be greatful and happy that the used a little the have to cover the need of others.
##learned it from my mother
