Contest: What is census? Is census possible in steemit?

How would you define census

I will define a census as the method of systematically gathering, documenting, and computing population data on the constituents of a given population or the process of ascertaining the total population of a certain nation.

Have you ever been counted? When? Explain your experience if any.

To be quite honest, I have been counted for a census before. It was in 2006, when my country of Nigeria conducted its most recent census, and I personally experienced it.

And during that process, some individuals carrying paper and pens came to our home to inquire about the number of people living in our house. We responded to them how many we are and there wrote it down and they left after hearing that information. At first, I assumed that the individuals were going to share a few gifts but in the end, I learned that they were conducting a census.

What do you think are the importance of carrying out census ? State at list 5.

There are so many importance of carrying out census in a country but let me shot list 5.

• To understand the population's size. Finding out the population density and social structure of a nation can be done with the use of a census.

• Again, it is crucial for governments to collect taxes and allot enough money for various social and infrastructure activities.

• Enhance the process for decision-making to enable the creation of socioeconomic policies.

• It assists in illuminating a country's level of manpower, or the number of people employed there.

• Constructing social facilities. Census information provides a general sense of the social amenities that should be offered in a certain location.

Is there any problems associated with census? Briefly explain if any.

Yes, the only issue I also experience is that there are some areas where conducting an efficient population census is difficult due to inadequate infrastructure, such as bad roads and impassable areas. As a result, many census officials are unable to access these impassible areas to count the population, so they must estimate how many people reside there. The final outcome is insufficient population estimates following the census.

Do you think census can be carried out in Steemit?

Yes, I think a census can be conducted on the Steemit platform if only the management of the Steemit team agrees to it. It would be a nice idea to know how many users are using the platform.

If it possible to carry out census in Steemit. how would you do it?

Due to the fact that we are all in different countries, the census will only be conducted online. In order to do so on the Steemit platform, the Steemit management must write a post in every section that is solely dedicated to the census.

Do you suggest census be carried out in Steemit platform?

Yes, and in my opinion knowing the number of active users on the Steemit platform will be very useful. Accordingly, I suggest doing a census so that everyone can determine the precise number of members using Steemit.
