Delightful Grains of Sand

Special night, the sky looked so clear, decorated with stars that twinkled like jewels, the breeze brought fresh air from the west. We are at a cafe called Tenank, this cafe has a sand playground area, as if we are on a real beach. But for Khalif, Kahfi, and Keenan, it didn't matter, because tonight, they had agreed to the scenario: we're on a real beach, even if it's just in a park.

The dim lights of the park gave a magical touch to the night atmosphere. The sand that usually feels hot during the day now feels cool and soft under our feet, like fine grains that can just flow into our hands. I sat close to them, accompanying them as they played, although in my heart, the atmosphere this night felt like more than just playing in the sand.

Khalif, with his undying enthusiasm, runs straight to the center of the sand area and starts digging. "I want to make a really deep well, so that if we go down, we can find fish!" he exclaims excitedly. I nodded and helped dig, even though I knew the well wouldn't go that far. But for Khalif, it was all very real. His desire and imagination took us to a world full of adventure.

Meanwhile, Kahfi, who always has creative ideas, had already started building something different. With a small bucket, he piles sand into a big circle. "I want to make a moon out of sand, so we can land there, like astronauts!" he says with a serious face. Keenan, who usually likes to move fast, seemed intrigued by the idea. "If you make a moon, I'll make a path to it with shells!" he said, collecting small shells scattered around the play area.

My wife and I ordered some food for dinner and ate it while watching the children continue to play and get lost in the beach atmosphere as the night wore on, but we didn't feel tired. The children's joyful laughter filled the air, giving color to a world that was usually silent at night. Every time their sand pile was destroyed or their sculpture broken, they would laugh and say, "Come on, build it again! We can make it bigger!" Their joy was unstoppable, as if the world was full of possibilities, and nothing was impossible.

When Keenan finished making the long seashell walkway, he ran up to us. "Look, this is a real beach walkway!" he said with pride. Along the seashell path, they placed small stones as lamps, as if the path led to a place full of wonders. Kahfi, who had finished with his sand moon, came over. "Come on, let's land on the moon!" he exclaimed. Without thinking, Khalif, Kahfi, and Keenan immediately walked along the seashell path they made, laughing and imagining, as if we were all on our way to a magical beach that only existed in their world.

The moonlight shining softly from the sky seemed to support their adventure. The warm excitement was palpable, coming from the togetherness and unstoppable laughter. There was no sound of waves crashing, but every step they took on the sand reminded me of how precious that moment was, where even the sound of the whispering wind seemed to bring peace.

We walked along the long seashell path, and suddenly, Keenan stopped in the middle of the path and looked up at the sky. "Do you see that? It looks like a shooting star!" he said, pointing to the sky. We all turned around, following the direction of his pointer. Although it wasn't a shooting star, the moonlight reflecting off the sand created the illusion of a shining star. Laughing together that night, we felt like we were in another world-a world of wonder and limitless imagination.

When it was time to go home, we left the park with our hearts full of happiness. The sand that had been our adventure field now left behind footprints that would soon disappear in the wind. However, the memories of that night lingered in our hearts. We weren't really on the beach, but with laughter and togetherness, we created our own beach world, filled with happiness, adventure and wonder.
