Power up

Good day everyone!
It's been a great journey so far as a new comer trying to learn and put to test what I have learnt so far.

Today, I did a 100% power up of the total Steem balance in my wallet. Since I learnt that to power up is a more safer way of keeping your steem, I don't hesitate to do that anymore.

Powering up Steem is very important because its like a vault that safeguard your steem until when needed.

In few instances of compromise, it's easier for the hacker to move all the earned Steem in it's liquid form but difficult to do so when you have already power up because it takes upto a month for powered up Steem to come back in it's liquid form.

Power up also helps to make you earn rewards. Steem power can also be delegated and retrieved by the donor when needed.

HOW I DID MY POWER UP

Log into my wallet using the private Active key

Click on Steem and the select power up

	select power up

Input the amount of Steem you want to power up. Since I wanted to power up all my Steem, I put the total available

	I powered up 5.514 Steem

Confirm and press ok to continue

	press ok to continue

Reminder that it takes a total of 1 Month to be converted back to liquid Steem

Transaction successfully completed.
