Hello every one my name is yahya ghnai @ghani12. this is my home work post of Practicals on stitches 101 LINK by very talented teacher @bossj23.

Introduction

tailoring is an art and also one of the basic necessity for man kind. I do not have any interest in this field before coming to steem community but after reading @bossj23 lessons about tailoring i develop interest in tailoring. With his guidance we are here doing practical's on stitching. This simply shows how interesting and easy to understand his method is. Me as a kid did not imagine 3 week before holding needle and doing stitching practical's but today i do so. this practical assignment is very interesting and fun to do. i am not a pro but beginner so please ignore my mistakes.

Types of stiches and importance

there are many types of stiches which help us to do joining of cloths and also making perfect designing to them. there are different names to different stitches world wide. for example chain stich in English is known as Zanjeeri Taanka in Pakistan (Urdu). There are certain things and types of fabric which might not be good for any of the hand stitches like silk and net etc. But other fabrics and hand stich friendly.
There are many categories in stitches some of them are used for decorative purposes and some are used as sewing purpose and some are used to join the different types of fabrics.

Zigzag Stitch
Satin Stitches
Blanket Stitch
Overedge Stitch
Fagoting
Picoetta Stitch
Feather Stitch

Types of permanent stiches

Running Stitch
Back Stitch
Over Cast Stitch
Overhand Stitch

Conclusion

to conclude this lesson i can say that being a kid i appreciate the adults who do such tasks on regular basis. through this lesson i am able to say that no work is superior then on an other. after taking part in this practical class of tailoring i am able to do small tasks regarding my clothing by my self.
