Drawing challenge for week#5: Draw a dog

Hello amazing members of steemkids community. I am glad to join in this week's contest organized by @ngoenyi week #5 which is to draw a dog. First let me give you a brief about dogs.

Describe a dog

A dog is classified as a domestic animal. It's a four legged animal. There are many species of dogs. In my environment, you have local dogs and the ones we call white dogs. The teeth of dogs are very sharp. They are energetic and can run very fast. Not just that they are domestic animals, they could also be trained to do a lot of things.

Dogs are given names and they recognize their names when you call them. They have tails even though some have longer tails while others have shorter tails. Just like other mammals, they can give birth to young ones called puppies. They have nose, mouth, and eyes.

What do you like about a dog

Some of the reasons why I like dogs include:

• Dogs are playful. You can play around with them, take them for a walk.
• Dogs are easy to train. If you start early, you can train your dog to behave the way you want it.
• Dogs are very clever and intelligent. They can detect danger on their own and respond.
• Generally, dogs are friendly to the owner but hostile to strangers.

Have you seen one before? If yes where

I have seen a dog before. There are a lot of dogs in my neighborhood. I can see different species of them all around me. In fact in the locality around me, you will always see a dog.

Are they important to man

Dogs are very useful to man.

• Dogs are a source of security to the owner. Wherever there are dogs in a compound especially the white ones, it scares people away.
• Dogs can be used as a pet. Some people form close bond with their dogs that they are almost inseparable, to the extent that when the dog dies, they mourn it heavily.

However, despite the importance of dogs, I do not like having them around.

The following are the steps I took in drawing my dog.

Step 1

I drew the head first

Step 2

Then I drew the other parts without the tail.

Then comes the whole dog with the tail.

Step 4

Then I designed it.
