Defining operating systems

A computer operating system is a collection of software that allows computers to interact with one another and access resources. It manages the resources used by the programs running on it, keeps track of changes to files and keeps track of user input.

Operating systems are divided into two categories: client-server and single-user. Client-server operating systems use a network to allow multiple computers to share resources. Single-user operating systems run on a single computer.

Types of operating systems

1. DOS(disk operating system): This is the most basic type of operating system. It was designed in the early days of personal computers to allow users to easily use the computer. The users have to remembers different keys for performing the operation on this type of computers.
2. Android OS: This is the most popular operating system in the world. It is used on smartphones and tablets. This is very user friendly and easy to use Operating system we have now.
3. Mac OS: This is an operating system used on Macintosh computers.
4. Solaris OS: This is an open source operating system that is used for oracle databases .
5. Chrome OS: This is an operating system used on Chromebooks.
   

   Operating systems i have used

Currently i am using windows operating system on my pc and android operating system on my mobile phone. These both operating systems have been with me for quite some time now. I have not used any other operating system in the past.

I have been using Windows OS on my PC for about 4 years now. Android OS was introduced to me about 3 years ago and I have been using it on my mobile phone ever since. I am very happy with both of these Operating Systems as they are very user friendly and easy to use. I would definitely recommend both of these Operating Systems to other people.

My first experience

My first operating system was on the pc with window's version 7. this was back in 2018. I was very interested in it and started using it right away. I got it pre installed and have no internet connection on that pc, i used to play small games and draw using the drawing application pre-installed with that window. That was the most thrilling experience of my life, before that i never saw anything having so much life to it.
